I was kind of amazed that they acctually set an age limit for Lusternia... Its not something you usually see a game do, though it does make a lot of sense...
Seeing as most of us are probably around highschool to middleaged... I doubt it'll have a whole lot of effect, but I'm curious how other people feel about it.
Also... What do you think, if anything, will change about Lusty

I think very little will change. Doesn't take very much to lie about your age anyway.
Ialie2005-10-18 00:59:32
There is an agelimit? WHere is that?
Unknown2005-10-18 00:59:44
Are we allowed to swear now?
Vix2005-10-18 01:01:10
Weird. I think I was 12 when I started playing Achaea though.

New announce.
Corr2005-10-18 01:01:51
Sorry Guido, you can't swear untill your 17+
Suhnaye2005-10-18 01:02:31
Nah, not swearing in public is simply curtious... I don't really mind either way, but I don't have much of a love for people who swear insessantly... it just gets annoying.

It's most likely being done for this reason.

It's probably a good policy.

Hmmm... I feel sorry for any people under 12 that bought credits or something, or had their mommies and daddies do it for them.

Wuylinfe, you're that young? Never would have guessed it.

One of my fears is that somebody somebody's going to engage in "mudsex" on some MUD somewhere with somebody under the age of 18 or 13, parents will complain, and the authorities won't see it as a game but as actual predatory behavior, treating it either as statutory rape or pedophilia.
And then they will bring out the old D&D/Fantasy is evil.

Hmm... I think that if they're established characters Estarra should make some way for parents to give propper permission to allow the kids to keep playing... It only seems right.
Unknown2005-10-18 01:08:18
I feel bad for the kiddies, especially those who have purchased credits recently.

Not unless you are 12 or younger.
Jasper2005-10-18 01:09:32
I still don't see how it can be the policy - since if it was that, then I would think that all IRE would be having to put age policies up. And from what I have seen, Aetolia nor Imperian has one yet. But who knows might come at a latter time.
Suhnaye2005-10-18 01:09:56
I think that was why he was asking... Wasn't it?
Unknown2005-10-18 01:10:56
Psh, just lie that you're older.
