Hell yeah, clear out the Inner Sea, the Sea of Despair, Toscha Monastary, Shallach (if you're trans fleeing), the Grey Moors.. there's Earth, Water, Astral respawns, Rockeaters.. whole arseloads of quests in said areas and more.

There's plenty, Astral just spoiled us, link and kill, link and kill, link and kill, so easy you could automate it with 3 triggers.. if Astral ever comes back, I sure hope it won't be as profitable anymore! And Munsrim proves often enough it's viable to bash the Catacombs without permission from teh Emperor.

Ok i tryied catacumbs today. Wow its better gold then on astral.
It was just stupid feeling to chekc qw and scan every few seconds, to see who is coming after me. But luckly noone came so i cleared whole bottom level and get 27k in less then half an hour.

QUOTE(Kashim @ Oct 20 2005, 03:47 AM)
Spoiled maybe, but it gets really boring fast. I don't really miss astral bashing, to be honest. It was like a job, detached from the realms.

But i still want astral back, i realy enjoyed to hunt there. it was even better if you had somone to company and you could chat between swings tongue.gif

Please make astral back and let those creatures dont drop any gold.
I didnt notice any pockets or backpacks on them, so where they keep this gold, eh? tongue.gif

I'm going to do an "I told you so" here.

Credits currently available for purchase:
349 credits at 4300 gold per credit.
13 credits at 4550 gold per credit.
13 credits at 4600 gold per credit.
10 credits at 4650 gold per credit.
1 credits at 4700 gold per credit.
23 credits at 5000 gold per credit.
43 credits at 5400 gold per credit.
3 credits at 5450 gold per credit.
10 credits at 6000 gold per credit.
20 credits at 6500 gold per credit.

Feel free to buy the top credits too. biggrin.gif

The real question here is not the credit prices, Richter, or why there would be a run on credits during the auctions, but how 11,000,000 gold fell out of the sky to buy up that huge, overpriced block of credits overnight.

Credits were moving okay, but not wildly, with ample opportunities to buy up credits in the 4000 to 4500 range in large blocks during the first week or so of the auction. No one did it.

Then suddenly there was enough free-floating gold to buy 1700 credits for more than half again that much in a matter of hours.

Anyone who'd pull such a move was a fool. Fool's and their money are soon parted. So it's highly suspect that even a sizable group of fools would have legitimately hoarded that much gold to part with all at once.

That leaves bug abuse as the most likely rationale, and telling people to stop whining about credit prices is completely missing the point.

Exarius2005-10-20 14:18:46
P.S.: If it was bug abuse, doing it in the middle of the auction to snap up the special artifacts would make it particularly heinous bug abuse. I already had no expectations of walking away with any of those artifacts myself (other things to do with my credits), but for the sake of everyone doing it the right way, I think permanent shrubbing and site banning would be getting off too easy for someone who did that.

Personally, I'd call it an attempt to defraud IRE of hundreds of dollars, and consider real-world legal action.

I know where the gold came from, I know where the credits went... I'm not sure what is being done with the credits, but I have a few idea's. While ofcourse we investigate anything dealing with seemingly large amounts of gold that appeared out of nowhere, I do not believe there is any bug abuse in this case.

Not going to release the name of whoever did it, are you?

I've got some lovely swampland in Florida for sale.

By guess would be on an organisation trying to get the amulet really.
Exarius2005-10-20 14:59:49
I'd still sell them the swampland. Or eight hundred more credits for a paltry 4,800,000 gold.
Iridiel2005-10-20 15:36:17
As long as there's nothing ilegal (and probably if it were) they won't never release such information.
So start checking with your information net, people! Somebody must know something!
Sylphas2005-10-20 17:45:21
I need a new information net, I relied pretty much solely on Shiri. sad.gif

Taking applicants for informants, msg me. smile.gif

Okay. But if I have to do the legwork, the price just went up to 5,000,000! But I'll throw in a bridge in Brooklyn if they'll come forward on their own.
