Fair enough, just don't go too quiet please. You're right though, this round is hard to choose and if I weren't so against not lynching, I would...well...say we don't lynch.

What does everyone think of that? Pros and cons of not lynching?

PROS:
By tomorrow, we will have one less person to consider
We are assured of not killing an innocent

CONS:
We just lost a scrier
One of us will likely die in the night, unless a guardian does their job well
The scum are likly getting close to the point of winning, a few more townies down and they will probably claim victory

Ok so I've considered it and I think no lynching is a bad idea again, still. Heh. Can anyone else think of any other pros or cons? If we do lynch, we need to be very careful.
Xenthos2005-10-28 02:24:07
I've actually been drawn somewhat close to choosing "No lynch" myself, but... I'm also really against it.

However, it's a gamble. If we get an innocent today, and lose an innocent tonight... we're in a LOT of trouble, especially as we lost our scrier. 3 innocents down in one day is meh. But two innocents isn't much better. This gives me even MORE reason to hold off. I want to be as sure as possible before I throw my vote *anywhere*.

One thing I'd like to point out- someone who picks the flaws of another to try and twist it into being guilty has a good chance of being guilty themselves. We've seen this game after game. Divert attention from yourself and draw a bandwagon onto someone who misspoke.
Iridiel2005-10-28 08:16:11
One scryer less, so there's no reason to ask our remaining scryers to claim as that would mean putting them into an even more angerous situation.

About not lyching, I still think that we need to lynch today, but we need to be absolutely sure the lynched person is a tainted being. So, those who haven't spoken, do so and state what you've deduced so far, and help us to find the taintscums.

PS: YoLF, sorry to hear that, but alcohol usually will make you angry and with hangover next day, so it's worse than not drinking tongue.gif

I'm going to be busy today and tomorrow. Ye of Little Faith will keep up with vote counts if needed. No deadline yet. I'm going to go ahead and let you all take your time so you don't feel rushed. I would still like to see participation though so don't slack off too much. wink.gif
Shorlen2005-10-29 06:35:50
There are 9 people in this game. 4 of them are not voting. That's nearly half. This game will not be a game if this continues. I, for one, happen to enjoy this game. Please let the game continue?
Revan2005-10-29 06:36:30
Yea, this game has been quite stagnant for the past day and a half

I keep wanting to post, but really, I've said all I wanted to say, made my accusations, and voted. There's not much more for me to talk about at the moment sad.gif
Unknown2005-10-29 06:52:06
Same. The lurkers need prodding.
Unknown2005-10-29 07:05:03
I'll send out prods on Sunday if posting doesn't pick up. Far too busy and tired to even post in my own games on mafiascum until then so I'm being understanding at the moment.
Vix2005-10-29 16:06:00
I can't gather very much information on anyone and as was stated before, we need to really hope we get a non-innocent...
Sylphas2005-10-29 18:11:20
I'm almost tempted to vote no lynch, like Xenthos, and see what happens tonight. We'll probably lose an innocent, but depending on our roles, we might possibly get one of them, have another scrier find someone, or have a guardian get lucky. If we lynch wrong, that's two we lose instead of one.

However, as tempting as it is, if we lynch correctly, we're much better off. Unless we honestly can't get anything today, I'd like to lynch someone.

Anyway, I'm going to throw out a claim, just for some new info:
Sylphas is Llisilli Cloudwalker. I'm guessing a Trill from Hallifax, though that's not been confirmed. My only power is whining to Ibby until I got a nice fluffy bed and good dreams. This way, at least I'll die happy if I'm nightkilled. She would not grant me a bouncy ball with which to smite lurkers, sadly.

And Vix, best way to gather info is to just reread the thread, and take notes. Remembering it all yourself is tough.
Cwin2005-10-29 18:58:08
First off, *sigh*

Secondly, Xenthos has hit dead on with the factions that's been occuring. However, I don't think we can base our votes on who looks clean: realy no one will, especialy with the whole Party thing. The only real way we can decide is by looking at who looks worse than the other. Of course, that may not clear things up at all for the four who havn't voted yet.

I won't push for a vote: by what I've seen that always leads to Bad Things. I will restate, though, that of everyone in here, Revan seems the darkest of the bunch due to the reasons I stated just earlier to me.

No lynch? We are down THREE townies. Tonight, another will die, unless we get lucky with our protectors. If there are two cultists and four mafia (there are either three or four mafia with this many players and I'm guessing things are for the worst), there are only three true townies left. Another death means TWO true townies left. We NEED to kill a non-townie tonight, or we lose. Those who suggest 'no lynch' seem VERY suspicious to me in this situation.

And why claim when there is no preasure on you? That makes no sense.
Sylphas2005-10-29 19:55:44
Because I have nothing to hide, Shorlen. Were I power role, I'd not claim. The scum know who's not scum already, so I lose nothing by this.

And I'm tempted because we are down so far. A wrong choice hurts us a LOT . However, I'm not voting no lynch. I think the benefits outweigh the risks.

I'm with Cwin. Revan is still on my suspicion list, but it's probably just because he's acting like a prick. That could mean he's scum, or it could just mean not all townies are nice and fluffy.
Revan2005-10-29 20:08:04
I'm not dark... I'm a creamy milk chocolate. Iridiel is teh ebil!
Cwin2005-10-29 21:18:47
mmmm, milk chocolate.

AKK! No tempting the townies. We're pure. We're strong, we're...

is that HOT milk chocolate?
Unknown2005-10-29 23:56:26
Wouldn't it be called hot chocolate, in that case?

I think Revan is acting suspicious, but there is no indication he's actually a traitor or cult beyond that he's acting like a mean old man. Laneth has been acting suspicous as well, especially given his voting patterns, and acting mean isn't one of the reasons he seems suspicious. Thus, my vote is for Laneth, but if enough people think we should lynch Revan instead, I'd probably change my vote. We townies just can't afford to be wrong today, or we lose, and all will be covered in shadow.
Shorlen2005-10-30 00:11:22
Oh, and remember that making a good claim just makes people think you aren't a traitor - the cultlists are still out there as well. Cultists keep their old abilities, right? So the claim would be true, but they would be non-innocents.
Sylphas2005-10-30 03:45:58
Ok, this day needs to freaking end, to save my sanity. I'm going to read through again, take a look at Laneth. I'm suspicious of Revan, but not enough to vote him unless we have a decent bandwagon going. I'm pretty sure he's got a power role, if he's not a traitor, so I'm definitely not risking it any longer, we can't afford it.

And yes, Etanru's right Cwin, it'd be hot chocolate then.

This post restriction is freaking annoying sometimes.
