Wait, let me make sure I understand this. Your claim is that you can: pick someone, get told if they have a night action, get told what their night action is if they have one, and redirect that night action?  unsure.gif

Not that Queen Maeve couldn't be incredibly nifty like that, but it sounds like far too much in the way of abilities. For now, my vote's staying where it is.

No you have it wrong. I can pick one person, and decide to use whatever power they may have on someone else, including on myself. I am not told what power they have so it is not always evident what the results are, if any, of my choices. The only reason I know who a scrier is, is because I used their power on myself and I was told that I was me.

Does that make sense?
Vix2005-11-02 02:11:12
So you know who a scrier is, but how do you know who is bad? Are you communicating illegally at night? glare.gif

... yes, things make sense now. I'd been wondering.

So basically, you probably wasted the scrier's power and made them unable to check, not only on who they wanted, but on anyone that night. If I was the scrier, I'd be a bit irritated with you right now. You may be good, but usurping powers blindly isn't ... it's more chaotic, or downright harmful.

You're not in immediate danger of being lynch, so my vote's standing. The one I'd consider switching my vote to would be Revan, but that would be the lynch and he hasn't claimed yet either.
Vix2005-11-02 02:43:55
What's the probability we even have another scrier anyways? unsure.gif
Xenthos2005-11-02 03:24:42
Well, the deadline is now about 12 hours away. We CANNOT let it go to a blind vote. There's little from stopping those who can speak to each other to vote in a block, and if the rest of us vote willy-nilly... it's essentially a free kill for them. Randomly choosing someone has a better chance than that.
Shorlen2005-11-02 03:47:36
Laneth's claim isn't a bad one in my eyes, but that does not mean he isn't cult. I keep my vote on him, especially since my only other suspicion is towards Revan, and there are four votes on Revan at the moment.
Revan2005-11-02 04:16:27
My claim:

I'm just an ordinary townsperson, innocent. I'm nothing special or vital. Most of the bluster and talk was to drive the votes away from important people, since I'm not a power-player. I do, however, hold to my suspecions of tainted individuals. Do what you will, but I don't think it wise to kill an innocent when we're down by quite a few.
Tsuki2005-11-02 04:37:41
I don't like Quidgy's claim (or rather, the ability), but I believe it.

Revan, I'm not sure I even believe that claim...
Tsuki2005-11-02 04:41:57
In case that post was in doubt, I'm not taking it into consideration whether to switch my vote and clinch the lynch on Revan (assuming no one removes their vote from him before I decide to do so if I decide to do so).

Devoting my time to contemplating to make the decision now...
Xenthos2005-11-02 04:42:37
I don't believe it. Even last game, when there were "normal" people, they still had SOMETHING to do. Revan says he's got nothing at all... hrm. Yeah, I don't like it. :/

Sticking with Revan.
Tsuki2005-11-02 04:43:04
NOW taking, not NOT taking... doh.gif
Revan2005-11-02 04:55:55
Not saying I have nothing to do. I've been the most active person here. I said I have no POWER abilities to do anything with. Get the ham out of your ears.
Xenthos2005-11-02 04:58:25
However:
1) Nobody dead so far has had *no* ability whatsoever.
2) Last couple games, there have been *no* people without *something* unique that they could do.

This makes it a little hard to swallow.
Revan2005-11-02 04:59:41
Ok fine, lynch me. It's one step to making the tainted win. Have fun, I'm quite done with trying to make you all see reason.

I only know what I can learn by redirecting someone else's ability. I am not communicating illegally at night. If I were, Ibby and Kyle would chop me up into tiny pieces.

I don't know what will happen when I redirect someone's powers. I had no idea this certain person was a scrier until I chose them to redirect that night. I don't even know what the person is told when I do redirect their choices, if anything.

It does sound chaotic. When I was told the role, I was very excited. Then I thought about it more, and thought on the fact that I MUST make a choice each night on who to redirect, and realised how difficult the role could really be. That is partly why I chose to redirect towards myself. I'd rather chance that I get killed than redirect a scums nightkill to one of guardians, for instance.

In a game of twelve where we aren't told the setup? Who knows.

Deadlines can ands do get extended if there is conversation going on, from what I understand. Is this right, Ms Mod?

EDIT: I edited to fix up the quote tags.

Didn't Sylphas say he doesn't have any special abilities?

Hm. Yeah, he did, actually (well, he got a bed by whining, apparently). Meh, I guess that makes Revan's claim a little more palatable, unless they're both scum. I'll unvote: Revan for now, and thanks for pointing that out, Vix. Forgot about it completely. sad.gif
Vix2005-11-02 05:17:40
Do you have a name, Revan?
Tsuki2005-11-02 05:20:30
Sylphas had a name, though. Revan has no name or anything.

But if you've unvoted, then I'll pause in the contemplations, since even if I'd decide to switch it wouldn't do anything.

I'd gotten as far as ... even if I'd believe Revan, I'd rather kill a do-nothing innocent than risk a blind-vote killing an innocent scrier. So if the deadline were closer with Ibby not around to consider extending it, I'd've switched.

Shorlen2005-11-02 05:32:28
Knowing Ibby, I highly doubt there is a role with no flavor.

Unvote: Laneth Vote: Revan.

I still think Laneth is a cultist, but Revan seems like scum to me.
