I have a question. Have you done much reading of the thread? All I've been doing is trying to get people to comment on the choice between lynch/no lynch, and I'm not voting because I'd like the day to be drawn out as long as possible. The more time we have to discuss, the better off we are.
Of course, we'll eventually hit a time limitation...
But still, there's been enough of the thread to say something a LITTLE more than "oh my, voting for the first person I see!" C'mon, speak up!

and that's exactly the responce i was hoping for
i don't think you got the point of me voting for you randomly.
Revan2005-10-21 17:46:53
Iridiel, if you read my comments carefully, you'll see that the strategy I'm outlining has gigantic benefits and almost no sliver of a downside for the good side. Your reasoning is extremely flawed and hastily made. I'm not certain that I can hold your opinion in much confidence, so thusly you bring down the hammer of justice upon yourself

If a scrier comes forward, the tainted know a really good target to aim for. It will tie up a guardian for the rest of the game. However, if one of the "tainted" (they're not actually tainted) come forward as scrier, there's two ways it could go: 1) We believe them, and he keeps claiming he scried an innocent and we trust enough not to lynch him, or 2) The real scrier comes forward, and we have to figure out who to trust. If we pick wrong, we lynch our own scrier. Even if we don't, until we kill one of them, we can't trust either. If one of the "tainted" is willing to risk sacrificing himself, it could screw us up if played well.
Revan2005-10-21 17:49:52
Either way, if the scrier is false, we lynch him. If the scrier is true, we have a guardian protect until he screws up.

people tend to be a little bit careless when they are a bit surprised/angry, so i was hoping that the way you wrote it might indicate something about you. anyway, since i just said what i was planning on doing i'm going to not vote for you anymore cause i think it ruins the point of what i was trying to do(that's not all of it though)

Unvote: Tsuki, Vote: Revan.
You're pushing too hard for this, I think. If someone had scried a "tainted," why would he sit around and let it go? Now's his best time to do it, before we lose anyone who could be a guardian, and before they get to kill anyone. Since no one has come forth, I doubt the scrier got lucky.
I'm much more afraid of one the enemy misleading us into trusting them, and then hiding behind that as long as possible. It's quite easy to say "I scried an innocent" for a couple nights in a row, and have it be perfectly valid.
Without a good target, there's no reason for the scrier to come forth, as there is no way to prove it, and simply paints a target on themselves. We're not even sure we have a scrier or a guardian.
Kiarlea2005-10-21 21:47:49
There is, as has been said before dozens of times, no point in not lynching.
When we don't lynch, we've just handed the scum a free chance to kill/do whatever their night role is. (Who knows, they might be doing something other than just trying to kill?)
Even if we do kill an innocent, it means one less person we have to worry about later.
The way Revan talks, he sounds pretty certain that we have a guardian, and it kinda makes me think he's one himself. So I'll leave that alone for y'all to chew on, and....

Hey Sylphas, I never said he had to step forward right now. It would be stupid for a scrier to come forth without having nabbed a tainted guy. I'm simply saying that when he DOES nab one, he should make himself known, unless by some unfortunate chance a guardian gets killed when night comes
