Mmm she said the foes were unknown. I dunno I don't quite grasp the cult thing yet, but from the death post it seems Kiarlea was meant to invite people into the cult. Now we've only had two nights, so the most she could have had in the cult was two people, right? Unless she started off with a band of followers...Hmm.
Any ideas?

Cult leader?! We had a Cult leader?!?
For those that don't know, A cult leader is one of the bad guys. Their job is to recruit someone into their cult every night. If they get enough people (I think when cult = rest) they win. There's no message about it happening either.
The good part is that she's out of the picture. The bad part is that she had two nights to recruit two of us in. I don't THINK the recruits can recruit others, but it still mean if they can outlast then the cult wins.
Lastly, there's the first night kill.
Now I know WHY I was realy worried about this game. At the moment, I'm 'no vote', but I'm definatly not voting no lynch and I'm done with shooting in the dark. I'll be off trying to make some sense of the situation.

Oh yah, to answer that question, usualy the Cult leader starts off alone, so the normal max would be 2 recruits.
Vix2005-10-26 04:10:48
Hm, does this mean the Cult is our opposition? But why then would they kill their leader?
Vix2005-10-26 04:12:49
Oh, I see. I like that website now. Whenever a cult leader tries to recruit a mafia (or tainted) person, then they die.
Revan2005-10-26 04:43:22
So... the Clan Leader was just a third party? We haven't killed what we're looking for?
Unknown2005-10-26 04:46:45
I think the game would be over if we had killed what we needed to kill .
Cwin2005-10-26 05:41:23
The cult leader is, indeed, a bad guy, especialy with the (Non-innocent, threat to the freedom of the people) part there. Thus she definatly needed to go. If she recruited anyone then they need to go as well.
The thing is that it was a night kill. It could be a good guy kill, but I doubt it.

Oh I know the cult leader is bad, but what I meant was that the cult is obviously not the only bad...portion? Wrong word, my brain is dead.

Do the mafia's kills happen before, after, or at the same time as other night actions? We could be looking at a cult of two, or a cult of one in addition to the mafia...
Well, in any case, the rot that threatens the Light must be purged before it harms anyone else. Typically, those performing suspicious acts are those who do not start bandwagons, since they do not really care who they are targetting. They also typically do not end them, especially at the beginning, because that looks too suspicious.
So, Laneth, Tsuki, and Revan are the ones I'm most worried about right now, especially given their lynching posts. Granted, poor Globglob did call it upon himself with his words, and the other people who lynched him, except for Kiarlea, didn't really give any good reason for it...
Still, after Laneth's behaviour yesterday (very loud until he was targetted, after which time he fell completely silent) and his place in the voting for Globglob's lynching, Laneth has my vote until more information is presented.

Kills are always last to happen.
Shorlen2005-10-26 06:10:43
So, if we started with three or four traitors to the Light, and we have two cult members now... the odds aren't looking too great for us We really need to kill a traitor to the Light tonight, whatever they may be... and we don't even know who we are fighting exactly...

You're always pointing fingers at me, Shorlen . Even last game you were all 'Laneth is suss...no he isn't...yes he is...no he isn't'. To me, your play style seems very much the same as last game where you were playing the head Taint role, if I remember correctly.
I already explained why I went silent; I did not have a great deal to say and was very distracted with my shiny new laptop.
Didn't you accuse me of trying to start a bandwagon? Then, when I refute that, now you're saying I'm suss for not starting one? Someone has his thoughts a tad twisted, or are you turning the words to suit your own scummy ends?

I pointed fingers at you last game because you were being too intelligent. I am pointing fingers at you this game because you are being so scummy, and noone else seems that scummy to me. If you look back at last game, I lashed out at whomever I could get dirt on, trying to get SOMEONE lynched. This game, I've only accused you, and I am not trying to start a bandwagon here, nor am I trying to get you to talk or anything. I'm pointing a finger at the most suspicious person I can find.
Unknown2005-10-26 06:23:35
All I've done is to randomly vote people, and then settle on Tsaephai or Cwin for the bandwagonning. I think you're clutching at straws here, Shorlen.
Iridiel2005-10-26 08:58:03
I keep considering Revan suspicious, even more after he voted for me for no other reason that I calling him tainted... Also, if he's a scryer, wich would explain his insistence in roleclaiming the scryer, then go and tell us who are you and who's tainted!
so vote Revan.
Even with that, I find Shorlen might be true, as Laneth also looks a bit fishy to me. So FoS Laneth and let's see if we receive a good explanation.

I want a claim out of Revan too. I've been suspicious of him, and while it's not enough to make me really want him lynched at the moment, a claim would be good, and since I don't have anyone else at the moment (still rereading), I'm going for Revan. Vote: Revan.
I would also like to point out, before someone brings it up (in day, that is), that me not letting Tsaephai claim was me just being a total idiot. Believe me or not, I can't really say anything to prove that I'm innocent at this point.
