My back went out

Ok.. I was playing tennis for the first time today in health class. I ran to hit the ball and as I twisted around my back popped out of place. I almost fell to the ground in pain and my teacher still didn't believe something was wrong. sad.gif

So yeah.. I get to walk around school, limping around like Igor because I can't stand up straight. I got to go home early, but my dad isn't home to put my back back in place. And it really really hurts..

I want sympathy. sad.gif fishing1.gif

OUCH! We were camping once, and my dad threw his back out when we rode ATV's, and so he laid on a bench while i took camp down and packed everything into the truck.

And a few weeks ago, i was sitting on the floor at my friend's house playing video games, and he gets up and comes and tries to sit on my shoulders for no absolute reason(he's just really odd.) and it screwed my back up sooooo bad, i couldn't lift anything for over a week, and it hurt to sit up, so i laid down alot. Yet my dad still made me help him build countertops, which are heaaaavy.

Just hope you havent torn a ligament, rest and maybe check into a Physiotherapy

The thing is.. I can't lay down. I can't straighten out my back without it hurting even more. I can't turn to my left side. Only thing I can do is sit.

And Murphy.. that might kill me.. blink.gif

I know how that is. Once I somehow threw my back out lifting a toilet tank lid off the ground, and I was barely able to stagger to my bed 15 ft away and fall onto it, and then I was barely able to get up and stagger down stairs for pain killers. Those covers must weigh only 10 lbs dry.gif Was rather annoying because I've never hurt myself lifting 100 lb things, and that tiny thing had me on my back groaning in agony. Fun. Was even more annoying because I had my first ever job interview two days later, and it was for a job that involved lifting boxes of tile that weigh 30-50 lbs. Luckily I didn't have to lift anything for the interview, and I was better by the time I started working.

My suggestion? Walk around your neighborhood. I could barely walk, but I managed to walk a couple blocks and back, and it made the pain tolerable.

Heh, it'd be Murphy's back that got all torn up, not mine smile.gif
Joli2005-10-21 05:55:35
Dad popped it back into place but I'm still walking like an old man.. I am so not going to school tomorrow if it doesn't straigten itself out..

omg.. Narsrim.. that is a horrible visual.. twitch.gif

Aww, that sucks. Both my parents have back trouble, and it looks hideously painful.

I once fell from the roof of my house and onto a metal framed table. I also once slipped off the vine flower grills when I was trying to high dive into our pool when I was a kid. Because of that, numerous judo and soccer injuries, and probably bad posture I now have minor scoliosis.

On the bright side, I have a reason to ask Jad for a back rub every now-and-then. Life is good.
Sylphas2005-10-21 09:39:01
MINOR scoliosis from that? You must have the back of steel.
Iridiel2005-10-21 10:21:47
I got minor scoliosis just for growing too much and too fast.
Also major clumsiness as a side effect.

And Alger, you must have been a really fun son tongue.gif
Alger2005-10-21 10:53:57
Have I ever mentioned I was born in KSA and at the age of 2 I ran right behind a camel and it tried to kick me. Missed my face by inches... yes very fun son indeed if high blood pressure is the epitomy of partying. Maybe thats why my parents live countries away from me... hmm...

and nah I dont have a back of steel. My back really does get pretty sore if I dont watch myself now-a-days. Also I think that sounded worse than I intended. I usually dont break anything, just bruised up like hell. All the scars are there though. I shouldnt be too reckless, I know.
