I assume Njal pays some toothless old hag in the Magnagoran slums a few coins to do it for him.

Xen just wanders around until the smell disappears ("Thank the gods!"), or someone dumps a ton of water on his head. Which seems to happen once per IC day.

Sleeping. For much the same reason as Munsia.

My own thoughts on this, really the only decent ones are things that would take you completely out of the basin, i.e your soul going into mediations, etc etc. Saying your character is going through a daily rountine could conflict, for example. You log out, and RP your character is going to tend to his gardens/drills/cleaning house. Magnagora comes and starts the smackdown on the supernals/avatars/ etc. IC you would be fully aware of this if it was mentioned over any channel, and since you, the player cant respond, that leaves yo open to assumption your character does not care what happens in the world around him while he does his menial tasks. The soul mediations, soul leaving the realms, etc, those work fine from an RP, sense, but the day to day stuff just conflicts.




Note, I am in no way whatsover the authority on RP, just my little perspective XD
