Also presenting the arguement that you have to whine or your voice wont get heard, isnt that kind of childish?

Welcome to internet forum communities.

Yer i know, ihave been around quite a while on forums. I expect that whining from forums such as Runescape and W.O.W, where 13 year old's gather. I thought this game gathered people with a bit more experience in life. Maybe i was expecting to much.

I don't know how long you've been on forums, but if someone can start a major fit that spurs concerns/fits from other people (typically, lots of people), it will eventually pull some weight on what happens if a change is made.
For example, spores used to work on monolith sigils. There was very little to no envoy discussion about this. Auseklis posted on forums that they were intended to work on monolith sigils. After nearly three weeks of complaints, it was suddenly decided spores shouldn't work on monolith sigils. The only major happening (at least visible to me) was an enduring bitch fest on forums about them.
There are lots of other examples. There have been tweaks made to all parties from Magnagora to Glomdoring to Celest that all stem back to someone throwing a fit on forums.
*disclaimer*
While the reality may be that forums has little impact in-game, the perception is certainly that it does. I'm not sure if this is or is not true; however, as long as the perception exists, the bitching will continue regardless if it is childish. It basically comes down to people who feel like if they don't throw fuss, it wouldn't get noticed because other people are throwing fusses... and their concern (for example, let's say they opted to submit it in IDEA

Welcome to internet forum communities.Â
An Internet forum/community does not have to be plagued with whining and trivial, pedantic arguments; it happens when people stop caring and either accept or ignore that behavior. Kharne2005-10-24 09:17:08
lol im only new to these forums as im new to this game (got that soughted out). I believe in reasoning and rationalising. If you can think through problems without bitching, it is done in a far more efficent matter. Of course this is an out of reach solution as like i said before whinging starts like a fire.

There's been positive reinforcement of the idea that complaining brings about changes.
Back on topic, Shorlen knows he's not allowed to leave the game.

Regardless, people have learned by trial and error how to "work the system." As long as they feel they can get their way by throwing a fit (and I use the word "fit" loosely. A lot of concerns start off valid and explode into rampant bitching... but the thing is, people try to use forums intentionally to get in-game changes), it will continue.

Whew, I thought you were leaving the game, not the forums. Good to know you arn't.

Welcome to um.. humanity?
No, I'm kidding. Seriously though, if people spent their time playing the game more so than they do on here it wouldn't be an issue. The only reason people should stop caring on here is when they get pummeled to hell via raid/village influencing, and lack of population and credits aside, that can also be solved through IG solutions.
When people have reason to despair or whinge, whether it be slight or in large amounts, forums will always be plagued with whining and pedantic arguements, and this is why moderators exist. The only difference you'll see in forums these days is the volume of the bitching and the reasons for it.

That's how it is.
