Ok it is possible this has been brought up somewhere else but I may just be too lazy to find it. If charges are 30 gold apiece what should we charge for cubes(which are 999 charges)? Should it be 29,970 gold? Selling them at less can make a given enchanter lose money but can lower the standard for all the rest of the enchanters.
Also I think there should be a form of regulation, whether it is on the city/commune level or a all enshrouding group. This would of course allow some exceptions, for instance charging for family and friends, but would handle most matters and make things less confusing.
Thanks for any who put in there two pieces.

Enchanting the cube is a lot faster, time put into it is also a factor, isn't it?
You should also consider the cube a bulk purchase.
I think you should charge lower than your normal enchanting.
Regulations don't really work. And when you talk about exceptions like friends and family, realize that almost everyone has friends and family and their favourite merchant with discounts for them. That's how it is with small playerbase.

In the current powerstone price climate, any enchanter is entitled to charge at least 20k in my opinion for a full cube enchant with powerstones provided by enchanter. Personally, I never have that many powerstones, so I just put in the time and effort and usually charge around 12-15k.
The problem is, of course... every cube we enchant = less enchanting work for us. Every cube I do is potentially 999 charges which I can't enchant personally - and I enchant at 35-40 per.
The enchanting community therefore loses out on approximately 30-40k of jewellery enchantment revenue for each cube enchanted, and gains perhaps a third of that for cube work. Net loss. Lots.
It's up to each and every enchanter to choose what he/she reckons is a right price.. and I probably undercharge... but we should bare in mind that if we undercharge too much it will impact on the industry as a whole.

I hope that made sense... and yeah. Time is a factor.. that's why it would be ludicrous to charge full price - that and it would make no economic sense for a shopkeeper to buy a cube at all if we did. But... we do need to make sure we don't let em go too cheaply.

So figure out how long it takes to enchant something onto jewellery and how much power, figure out the gold per unit time made on said enchantment. Do the same for cubes.
Yay linear algebra.

Alchemy and enchantment face the same problem. Certain alchemists see a massive increase in business, the vast majority loss a lot of business. I personally think the best bet is to just charge normal price per charge, so that they're forced to mark up for a profit. Thus, you pay more for convenience, but less if you find someone to do it personally. So say you fill at 200 per health, and someone wants a keg. Charge them 20k, and then they have to sell at more than 200 per refill to make a profit, and you can continue without having to lower prices, to help offset the lowered business a bit.

You enchant cubes 5x faster (5% at once), it's that simple.
