Kiarlea tells you, "It's not nice to kill defenseless birds."

You tell Little Winged One, Kiarlea Mes'ard, Hummingbird Queen, "Pardon?"

Kiarlea tells you, "Volucer."

You tell Little Winged One, Kiarlea Mes'ard, Hummingbird Queen, "What are you talking about."

You tell Little Winged One, Kiarlea Mes'ard, Hummingbird Queen, "Did someone mention this to you?"

Kiarlea tells you, "That you were killing my Lady's falcon for the experience?
Yes, someone did mention it to me. I'm just pointing out that it's not very
nice."

You tell Little Winged One, Kiarlea Mes'ard, Hummingbird Queen, "Who mentioned it."

You tell Little Winged One, Kiarlea Mes'ard, Hummingbird Queen, "Because I
don't like people bringing ooc information IC."

Kiarlea tells you, "I don't recall, unfortunately. Regardless, I haven't done
anything about it."

Kiarlea tells you, "And no, that's not a threat or anything."

You tell Little Winged One, Kiarlea Mes'ard, Hummingbird Queen, "Ooc- no one
ever witnessed me kill Volucer and I never killed it while it was loyal to
Isune. Keep your sources IC please."

You tell Little Winged One, Kiarlea Mes'ard, Hummingbird Queen, "Ooc- but yes I killed the falcon tons."

Kiarlea tells you, "You don't think Lady Isune can find out that Volucer's been
slain?"

You tell Little Winged One, Kiarlea Mes'ard, Hummingbird Queen, "Dont think you would have said Isune told you if she new."

You tell Little Winged One, Kiarlea Mes'ard, Hummingbird Queen, "Knew."

You tell Little Winged One, Kiarlea Mes'ard, Hummingbird Queen, "Caught in your own deceit."

Kiarlea tells you, "Right, so you can join the bandwagon that started last time
in defiling Her shrines."

You tell Little Winged One, Kiarlea Mes'ard, Hummingbird Queen, "And no I doubt She would know as it was not loyal to Her."

Kiarlea tells you, "(I apologise for that, I heard it OOCly from a direct source, I wasn't thinking, it's the end of a long day. But still - killing defenseless birds ain't nice)"

I get things like this all the time. Keep ooc info ooc please, thank you.

I remember when I announced the existence of the Flagg Brood over these forums a day after Erion betrayed it (not to the public, mind you) and I suddenly got a flood of inquiries IC about joining.

"I heard from someone/have discovered your secrets! May I join? I <3 Glomdoring!"

Meh.
Ialie2005-10-25 05:23:44
Meh Ixion. You can't talk I said in MIRC that I was bidding 3000 credits on the amulet.

Suddenly you send me a tell. Telling me that you heard I was bidding 3000 tongue.gif
Ixion2005-10-25 05:36:29
I don't go on IRC; I was told it IC, the other person must have gotten that info OOC- that or you told someone who told me.

Ialie2005-10-25 05:38:29
I only ever mentioned the auctions OOC in MIRC tongue.gif and it was told to you seconds after I said it in MIRC. Literally. You and Murphy.
Narsrim2005-10-25 05:40:06
Ialie, you know its "do as I say not as I do."
Ixion2005-10-25 05:42:13
Thanks for adding nothing constructive to yet another thread Narsrim. As far as I knew with Ialie the info was derived IC; try to read next time.
Narsrim2005-10-25 05:45:32
Let me read for you, Ixion:

Ialie: I only ever mentioned the auctions OOC in MIRC and it was told to you seconds after I said it in MIRC. Literally.

Therefore if you are too overly concerned about OOC information being kept separate, you should really put forth the extra effort to ensure your "sources" are true to that. If Kiarlea said she was told by a "source" which learned it OOC, wtf would be the difference?
Unknown2005-10-25 05:48:31
You told me IC you killed the bird tons of times, so I guess I could just tell her and she'd have IC knowledge about it sleep.gif

That's why I never say anything on the forums, people take -everything- IC. dry.gif

It's even worse when they think they're in Lusternia when they're on the forums. ninja.gif

So before you actually had any confirmation that she found this out in-character you made the OOC assumption that she took it from OOC sources, and jumped to OOC tells. dry.gif
Iridiel2005-10-25 10:14:59
That's one of the big problems of OOC communications... That everybody asumes it exists and everybody uses it.
Same happened when during raids to Nil sudenly 20 magnagorans came online, instead of thinking "hey, maybe it's the normal connection time for aussies, or americans" people jumped to the OOC "People have called them via IM!!"
Murphy2005-10-25 10:49:53
i only ever said it in bellator, which is an ooc clan

Don't you hate when people do that? You have to admit though. The owned smilie is so cute.
Acrune2005-10-25 13:49:33
I don't see what the big deal is. Doesn't look as though she acted upon it. If she gathered a bunch of people and killed you for it, that'd be questionable, and you'd have to find out just how ooc the info was. But ooc info brought in doesn't seem to be a big deal if it has no impact on anything.
Richter2005-10-25 13:49:50
Kiarlea apparently needs some roleplay guidance. Taking ooc into the game is... ungood.
Acrune2005-10-25 13:55:56
Nearly everyone does it every once in a while.
Richter2005-10-25 14:24:02
The way I see it, I get almost nothing useful from the forums, and I rarely use IRC. So much for being immersive! (Don't get me started on ooc clans tongue.gif )
