Just prevent graced people from interacting with a stockroom. I don't think anyone can be graced permanently here after newbiehood so there shouldn't be any problems with graced shopowning pacifists... or if so just explicitly allow graced ones who are allied to the shop to pick up things.

But I agree, I'd prefer an ingame solution... have the moon coven perform wicked wiccan punishment rites on the naughty one and have them pay a hefty lump of sum of reimbursement.

And step on the toes of whoever claims theft is not against Moondancer law... er... maybe I'm mixing something up here but I'm quite sure theft was explicitly forbidden in the Moondancers ever since good ol' Merloch was our big man. I remember people said stealing vials during combat was ok, but I don't think there was any notion that theft involving stockrooms should be ok? *shrug*

It's not explicitly stated in the Covenant, yet.
Viravain2005-10-26 22:46:40
It has been issued, and it (and the root problem) will be taken care of. Abuse of grace, helping others abuse it, or profiting from that abuse is not something that will be looked at lightly.
Eiru2005-10-26 23:04:52
Hmm. I'm sorry this had to happen to such a nice person, the culprit is obviously an experienced player, and may just be an alt.
Perhaps the real player behind the character needs to be dealt with, harshly.

Nothing more I can add to what has already been said, but yes, it would be nice if moonbeam got fixed, i.e., monos stop it.

Also, it is funny how of all the wiccan/guaridan(nihilists) guilds in Lusternia that has a skill that enables a person to steal effectively, the only one that doesn't outguild a thief outright (unless, like the nihilists, the target is blacklisted) is the Moondancer guild. Nihilists and Shadowdancers both not only "frown" upon it, but prohibit theft.

Go figure, the polarity is reversed, the good guys are the bad guys and vice versa.

On an OOC note, I now have the items. I have sent Lisaera a message that if any Divine want to seize them to please contact me. I'm holding onto them for now until the Moondancers decide what we will do. However, we want to give ample time for the issue to be resolved before we attempt an IC solution as we are aware that the Divine do frown upon the use of their grace for such things.
Stangmar2005-10-26 23:10:31
Look at his motto. OOC.
I know, perma remove his grace, disable QQ, and bind him to Daevos or Ixion as a punching bag, and make it so he ressurects instantly every time, but with massive experience loss, oh and shrub his alts.
Munsia2005-10-26 23:10:34
dont give em back! we will take em as payment for all that yrael did
Eiru2005-10-26 23:12:41
Yrae = Jadryga now?

And I don't believe Yrael abused grace.

Tsuki2005-10-26 23:13:25
Yes. ICly, things are on hold until the issues are resolved. That discussion only took several hours past when I should've been gone. wacko.gif

Grace isn't something we as players can do anything about, to prohibit or punish.
Stangmar2005-10-26 23:14:17
Munsia......Magnagora cracked down on Yrael's ass for stealing, allthough they kept letting him back in. But now he's been permanently banished from Magnagora, which is why he disappeared.
Munsia2005-10-26 23:15:41
ya but there was a list he was allowwed to steal from
I have the list surprisingly
Ixion2005-10-26 23:16:29
Hours?

Shoulda been more like minutes--
Tsuki to Voron: You done messed up kid.
Voron has been asskicked by Tsuki.

option a|| Voron: sorry ma'am
problem solved
option b|| Voron: bugger off Tsuki
Tsuki waits for his abusing butt to be perma shrubbed
Narsrim2005-10-26 23:19:11
It really did take hours. We got into a philosophical debate as to whether Moondancers should be allowe to steal and if so, how the Coven would react, etc. We aren't the topguild for for no reason - we put a lot of time and energy into EVERYTHING!
Tsuki2005-10-26 23:20:27
He messed up with the Grace, coupled with the lag she experienced. Otherwise, there'd be no issue.

ICly, Tsuki can do nothing about Grace and "lag" is insanity. No rules in place, and wildly diverse opinions with regards to the idea. I could get into it again, but ... I just escaped that. Now I'm leaving my computer for at least several hours. quickexit.gif

Edit: Meh, before I do. We don't like stealing from characters because it has more of a detrimental effect on time and effort we put in as players compared to murder of characters by characters. We especially don't like it when circumstances (such as lag) make situations that should be easily avoidable unavoidable. Characters reacting as players for the players' reasons is submitting to what's only known IC as insanity. ARGH!

Looking at what you people are saying, he's gonna be a hero in Serenwilde soon.

Everyone has been pretty uniform in condemning it, Kashim.

Na. He just won't be immediately outcast and shunned as some would suggest. He'll have his day in court, if you will.
Eiru2005-10-26 23:31:25
I really hope they crack down on the player behind the character, I can not and will not believe for one second that he didn't know he was graced, especially with taking the time to say "Hi."
It was premeditated.

I hope he gets shrubbed for at the very least 3 months.

And I am sorry to say, Moondancers, you allow your members to steal, indiscriminately, what is there to discuss? Whether to give a party for successful thieves or not? The fact that again, yours is the only guild out of those three that allows its members to steal is very telling.

Munsia, that list is the blacklist, for very annoying people like yourself, it is a seperate list from the guild enemy one. (Which you have the option of getting off it provided you have met the requirements.)
