The Taint Wars Game 3

by Unknown

Back to The Real World.

Kiarlea2005-12-09 00:11:50
Well, since this is going so absolutely fabulously...

Let's just kill someone and hope we were right. Otherwise, we've just handed a free night to the scum.

vote Sylphas

As far as I'm concerned, he's been suspicious all along. I'm not going into it again.
Narsrim2005-12-09 01:04:41
I'm going to FoS Sylphas and Vote Etanru

Etanru hasn't said a peep. That irks me.
Unknown2005-12-09 01:07:47
Unless my fingers have changed their mathematical value, that makes three votes for Sylphas. Enough for a lynch when the deadline hits.
Unknown2005-12-09 01:14:41
Oops, teehee. I play this game now. doh.gif Kidding. I haven't had a lot of time online.. certainly not enough to analyze the multitude of posts since daybreak.

Anywho... having jumped in half way through the game, I do find it difficult to piece together theories and so on. At the moment, only Kiarlea really stands out, but even her, I am hesitant to FoS. Oh well. Also, looking back at Sylphas' vote pattern, I'd like to FoS Kiarlea and Sylphas

Anyways, I'm really sorry about going quiet for so long. I've only really peeped in on here, and I thought a little post saying hi wouldn't make many people happy.
Narsrim2005-12-09 01:52:09
Unvote Sylphas until he has time to roleclaim or someone is in serious trouble!
Cwin2005-12-09 04:03:08
Troutslap Narsrim for following Suh's example of not bolding.

unvote Sylphas for the same reason Nars wanted to (and to make sure the vote doesn't go to 4.
Narsrim2005-12-09 09:40:44
Dumbass, I didn't vote Sylphas. I voted Etanru. I was just saying to people who had voted Sylphas to unvote *bitch slap*
Cwin2005-12-09 14:57:57
Fiesty aren't you? tongue.gif

That no lynch guy is really having some bad luck. I wonder how he got resurrected after being lynched yesterday. Anyways, somehow he rose to be lynched again.

You all gather around no lynch and string him up. He dies. He was definately scummy too.

Goodnight. You may send choices to me.

Is it any surprise...

That Suhnaye was brutally murdered last night ...

And that the crusaders of Light...

Have won the game!

Congratulations:

Holy Mother Glaruda – Bastion of the Light (Sylphas)

The unholy sickness of the Taint threatens to destroy the righteous order of the Light and it is your duty as the Holy Mother, Glaruda, to stop it. Each night you will come together with others of your Order to decide the best course of action to maintain the Light’s good and proper place in the land.

Unflavoured: Each night you may communicate with your fellow mafia, Narsrim and Wesmin Narsrim is a Godfather. Wesmin is a Roleblocker.

Once per night Narsrim may assign a mafia member to kill another player.

Dolph Inalai – Defender of the Light (Wesmin/Etanru)

Use your magicks well Dolph Inalai, and you may well stop the demonic Taint right where it stands. Each night you will join with others of the Light to discuss what should be done in order to cleanse the Basin of the Taint once and for all.

Unflavoured: Each night you may communicate with your fellow mafia, Sylphas and Narsrim Narsrim is a Godfather.

Once per night Narsrim may assign a mafia member to kill another player.

As Roleblocker, you may nullify any player’s night action(s) provided you are not committing that night’s murder. To do so, PM me the name of the player you wish to roleblock.

Marilynth – Princess and High Inquisitor the Light (Narsrim)

No one but you, Princess Marilynth, has the wisdom or fortitude to lead the forces of the Light against the Tainted rebellion. Your years spent in the shadow of your father Landantine have taught you well the value of a decisive blow and those among the Light will be more than willing to carry out your orders.

Unflavoured: Each night you may communicate with your fellow mafia, Sylphas and Wesmin. Wesmin is a Roleblocker.

Once per night the mafia may kill another player. PM me the name of a player you wish to kill and the mafia member you wish to do the killing.

As Godfather, you will appear innocent if investigated provided you are not committing that night’s murder.

Narsrim2005-12-10 22:43:25
Yay! I'm almost certain someone scried, found out I was innocent, and then decided Suhnaye was on crack! Yay! I keeled Suhnaye at the end for being a hater! Yay!

Ur’Guard – Taint, no special role (Kiarlea, Daganev, Suhnaye)

A foot soldier of the Ur’Guard, you are a proud Orclach sworn to protect the body of Emperor Landantine from those who would oppose his grace and to work for the glory of Urlach. No longer willing to suffer persecution at the hands of the Light, Landantine has called forth the ranks of the Ur’Guard to join the struggle for autonomy.

Unflavoured: The Citizen, also known (more commonly) as the Townsperson or just Townie, is the basic role for the forces of good. Citizens do nothing at night, and during the day they behave like sheep and try to lynch Mafia.

Landantine – Taint, Vigilante (Cwin)

Former ruler of the Holy Empire, you are Landantine. Unable to watch as your Tainted brethren are victimised for embracing their path, you have sent word to your allies that the time is nigh; Magnagora must revolt against the oppressors of the Light and you shall lead the way by any means necessary. Be wary though Landantine, for the Fates have seen fit to lessen your power should you murder an innocent in your fight to free the Taint.

Unflavoured: The Vigilante is a killer on the Town side who can either choose to kill every night, or choose to kill a certain number of times during the game, depending on the variation. In this version, you will lose your night ability to kill should you kill an innocent.

High Prophet Ghani n’Rotri – Taint, Scryer (Requiem dot Exe/Iridiel)

Chief among those who read the Tapestry of the Fates, you are High Prophet, Ghani n’Rotri. So skilled are you at discerning what may be, each night you are able to examine the Threads of one of your choosing to gain what knowledge the Fates decree.

Unflavoured: The Cop can investigate a player each night and find out whether they are on the Mafia or Town side (or the specific role, depending on the variation).

Grand Cipher Tlochaka Chum – Taint, Standby Guardian (Xenthos)

Not content to simply watch as your comrades’ fall, you are Grand Cipher Chum, working for the freedom of the Taint against the oppressions of the Light. Ever vigilant and wary, should the Guardian among the Taint-kin be destroyed you shall take their place in the fray.

Unflavoured: The Nurse assumes the Doctor's abilities one day after the Doctor dies. That is, if the Doctor should die, the nurse will be able to choose one person to protect each night.

Holy Mother Shelma – Taint, Apothecary (Tsuki)

With the threat against the evolutionary force of the Taint never so dire Magnagora has great need for your healing magicks, Holy Mother Shelma. With your presence still among the living any protection granted by a Guardian will be empowered by your own Will, prolonging the magicks for a full 24 hours.

Unflavoured: As long as you are alive, you will extend any medical attention a player receives for 24 additional hours. (This protection will not save that player from being lynched.) This ability is automatic- you do not submit any night choices.

(For example, a doctor grants Laneth medical attention on Night 1. Laneth will be protected until the dawn of Day 2 provided you are alive.)

Note: The Poisoner will receive an extra dose each day that the Apothecary is alive.

Professor Lars – Taint, Guardian (Revan)

You are Professor Lars, respected head of the Halifax Matrix Institute and one lucky enough to be strengthened by the Taint. With your brilliant mind for strategy and political manoeuvring you are an asset in the struggle against the Light. Choose well in the night, Professor Lars, and you may just turn the dogmatic hand of the Light from striking down one of your allies.

Unflavoured: Once per night you may protect another player from attempts against their life that night.

Lolly Pringle – Poisonist (Ye of Little Faith)

Fed up with scrambling along in the wake of those much taller than yourself, you, Lolly Pringle, have forsaken your quest to have the truth known and instead have turned to more nefarious conduct to further your personal goals. As night falls upon the land you may either amalgamate a dose of a deadly poison, or choose to slink quietly into the shadows to administer the fatal concoction.

Your time spent reporting has served you well, though, and if you have a dose free you may lull your victim’s suspicions during the day and slip the fatal drug into their ale. Forget not to keep your victim talking, as their heart races in an effort to further their goals the poison is worked through the blood.

Unflavoured: You may kill other players by poisoning them. Once a player is poisoned, they will die after they make 3 posts. Nightfall will not cure poisoning, but medical attention will. Day will continue after a death from poisoning. Each time you want to poison a player, you will need a dose of poison. You start the game with 0 doses.

Each night you may either use a dose to poison a player, or create a dose.
Each day you may use a dose to poison a player.
You may poison at most one person per night or day.

To create a dose, PM “create a dose” to me as a night action.
To use a dose at night, PM me the name of the player you wish to poison.
To use a dose during the day, use a signal in-thread to indicate whom you are poisoning.

On this first night, you must devise the set of signals you will use for the rest of the game. These signals will let me know when you are using a dose during the day. They must be used in-thread. It would be best for you if this code were natural enough to not arouse any attention, but at the same time don’t include something you might do accidentally.

Tsuki2005-12-10 22:49:08
Y'all are finally finished with this ... sheesh! About time. wink.gif

Hmm, and I apparently deleted the specifics of what my role was when I cleaned out my inbox a few days ago. As I vaguely recall, it had something to do with letting killed people stay alive an extra day or something? And would've worked for anyone, I didn't get a choice, just a role power that was active as long as I was alive ... 'cept I wasn't alive so y'all didn't get to see it! tongue.gif

Edit: Ah, there we go. Ibby kept it, yay! clap_1.gif

Laneth will have to give you Night 3

Game over - didn't wait for Iridiel's choice
Unknown2005-12-10 23:12:09
Hopefully Laneth and/or Tsuki will run the next game soon. I want to play!

Oh and... have you all learned yet that NOT LYNCHING is bad? There are certain instances it's called for, but none of those were in this game. Deadlines are bad too. The moment Narsrim asked for a deadline, ya'll should've lynched his ass. I would've.
Unknown2005-12-11 00:31:42
Night 3
Iridiel scries Cwin
Etanru roleblocks Cwin
Sylphas kills Xenthos
Xenthos protects Narsrim

Oh and I am happy to mod the next one. I think we will have a short break though.
Sylphas2005-12-11 00:56:42
And no breaks in the middle, hopefully? Maybe a short one before Christmas starts up, and then a full sized one after? Thanksgiving really threw me off.
Unknown2005-12-11 01:01:00
I'm thinking it might be best to wait till the new year. I can run a mini if you really want, but not many people will get to play.
Narsrim2005-12-11 01:05:11
I'll play.
Shiri2005-12-11 01:18:06
I'll play too! *hope* Reserve a spot? I missed the last 3. sad.gif
