And i wasn't using it to justify him. What used to be there had nothing to do with Bush. I thought it was funny and was trying to stay somewhat on topic. And flame all you want about Iraq, but, you have NO evidence showing he wasn't a threat. Ever consider that he sent the weapons out of the country when the U.N. went knocking just before we went in? And Afghanistan? There just so happens to be a little, sadistic bastard there named Osama Bin Laden. If you recall, he bombed New York in 2001. If going after him is bad, then let us be bad, because that son of a bitch is going down. So please, shut your mouth, as the only horse's ass i see here is you.

Ah, such a pleasureful post to respond to. However, I won't! I've more dignity than to bring this thread any lower.
However, if you wish to discuss politics, current events, and Bush's inability to get his spoon out of his nose long enough to find someone, please, contact me privately!

ya, my friend told me about that last year, without a doubt, the most funny thing I have ever read.

Guys, leave him alone. He is NOT a bad president, and he is NOT stupid. Just because he doesn't necesarily support every one of your ideas, doesn't make him a bad person.

Agreed. I got pretty sick of people bashing him in school, but putting up with it for 4 years was worth the gloating when he won again.

To win AGAIN would require him to have won the first time.

if only stalin were alive today...and somehow willing to rule the united states. he'd have it in tip top condition!
he would've in russia, too, if it weren't for all those "non-conformist" farmers who didn't want to value the whole of society above themselves. of course, that's what most of the people in the united states seem like too.

When talking about politics, things can get so heated. Both sides are like. Bush = Satan. Nooo, Bush = Jesus. Call me a hippie, or whatever, but when I get into a political debate with someone (I'm..I dunno. Republican-ish?) I try to remember that we are all still human beings on this world. What good will it do to yell and scream, and have an aneurism, over some guy who did something you like or don't like? I also find that if you debate in an orderly fashion, it tends to get more respect out of your opponent. I mean..SHUT UP AND DIE, is a good debating tool I guess..but when it comes down to it, maybe quote articles and show facts (Like some people are doing on this thread) but also..when you show facts..don't be all. See this fact? That just proves the mental deficiency innate in his brain. Because that's going to provoke the SHUT UP AND DIE'ers. And then it escalates and yadayadayada. Is bad.
Anyway-- Failure and I'm feeling lucky. Yes, twas funny!

To be honest I grow weary of the Bush slating. I agree with Stangmar, would you rather Bush had done nothing? I agree that Bush often talks shit and his Administration seems corrupt, but to be honest I'm sick of hearing people who don't know much about it (<--- not directed at anyone on this thread, I'm thinking more about people I know IRL) slagging him and spreading Anti-Bush stuff.
Acrune2005-10-31 21:57:21
Bashing Bush has become the trendy thing to do. Sadly this leads to many democrats making fools of themselves when someone calls their bluff
Shikari2005-10-31 23:43:38
Hmm. I suppose I'd fall into the 'anti-Bush' category. It's nothing particularly against Bush and for Kerry or whoever his current archnemesis is at the moment, I just dislike politicians in general.
That, and the US makes me go 'hmm'. Let's see, recent conflicts.
Iraq - US armed them to fight Iran, which was lead by Khomeni at the time. Let's go down the list - anthrax bacillus, aflatoxin, West Nile fever virus, armoured vehicles, helicopters, sarin and mustard gas precursors...wait, sounds like nuclear, biological and chemical weapons to me! That means Bush was right, the Iraqis did have WMDs....because the US and a bunch of other 'responsible nations' sold them to them!
War on Terror - Well, let's see. US funding and support for terrorist groups. Sure, they did some things in some backwater countries, but that was all against Communist dictators and the like, bad, horrible people. Oh, wait. Let's just ignore the fact that US support for one particular terrorist group was so well entrenched that I seem to recall a certain famous US police department sent a brass band to the funeral of one of the terrorist leaders. Oh, and the terrorists happened to be the IRA. They were blowing up the British at the time while being funded by Americans, who are now being helped by the British to control weaponry that the Americans gave to terrorists in the first place...
Ahh, irony.
I suppose my point is, politicians are, as a whole, not my favourite people. American politicians are even lower on the list than most other nations, simply because they don't seem content to stay home and mess things up, they have to go and put their two cents in globally, and then act all surprised when it comes back to hurt them.

I'm curious on how some anti-Bush people would run the government.

Actually, I'm curious as to how you got that from what I'm saying. If someone attacks you, sure, go and beat the hell out of them.
I'm just commenting that it's an interesting paradox when things like 'if you support or fund terrorists, you are the enemy' are being said by the US as an entity when that same entity has been supporting and funding terrorists. Oh, and actually funding and supporting the oppressors of the people they are now liberating.

I didn't get that from what you said.
I just heard tons at school about how we should get the UN unified and solve all the problems of the world peacefully. 1) The UN is generally useless, and in this case, a hinderence. Rather annoying considering what country pays the bills. 2) Some things can't be solved peacefully. As much as I hate for there to be suffering in the world, if the US is being threatened or attacked, we better be doing something about it.

Fair enough on the UN being a hindrance, particularly in regard to the demands of the US military-industrial complex. I do seem to recall the US being instrumental in its creation at the end of the Second World War in order to prevent a war on the scale of WWII due to overly aggressive nations.
Sounds rather familiar.

don't burn me!
i'm glad i have citizenship to ryupisa! you can't catch me, i'm the ginger-bread man!(wow that's odd...why do i have that stuck in my head?)
school will be not enforced? but then there'd not be people(even moreso) of proper knowledge, for example the lack of proper universal required survival training. that could have solved much of the problems new orleans had after katrina, like how to get drinkable water(dig a pit near some undrinkable water so that it seeps through the ground and thus filtures itself. so what if it's a bit muddy, it's much better than poisoned water , of course, as an extra precaution, make a fire and heat a rock in it, then put it into the pit to boil the water. to make a fire one can pick up wood(from the knocked down houses from the hurrican) and dry them out, and if possible collect one of the starters to a kitchen oven(there's likely to be allot available from the lack of people) or if that's not good then use a piece of wood as a handdrill and another piece as a fireboard, or strike two quartz together(takes a while for it to work, but it does eventually spark))
public execution is a very effective means of punishment! look at the middle ages? look at saudi arabia(sorry(or wait, have i been mentioning it allot lately here? i know outside of the forums when talking with my friends i have been), i just always use this as an example whenever punishment is brought up) i do believe in saudi arabia public light punishments occur, such as cutting off a hand or so, although i'm not certian. and saudi arabia has the lowest crime rates in the world.
aye! i didn't want to talk about politics with you people much cause i ussually get into arguements with people over it...
EDIT: oh. and if filtureing and boiling the water doesn't work, distil it by getting some sort of thing to collect water with and a plastic garbage bag(probably not hard to find down there, since there's stores, and people likely had them before, and they aren't damaged much by water, heheh) or some other sort of bag and hang it over the boiling water with one edge of the lip lower than the rest and place the water collection think just under the lower point of the bag.
