See if I was talking about them I would say Mentally retarded. Then the adjective retarded would be describing their mental capacity. You see in this case it is not. The word retarded is describing the ISP. So basically what I am saying is that DIAL UP is retarded, as one would say growth is retarded. I am one of those who can't get broadband and is stuck with a high-latency 56K-on-a-good-day frequent-disconnects cellmodem, and my sense of humor allows me to appreciate Ialie's new signature. I've just got the sense to block things when I'm on low-bandwidth. Heck, I browse with pictures off entirely here. Maybe if she's insulting anyone, it's people who have low bandwidth and don't have the sense to adjust accordingly, but just whine instead. If that's who she's making fun of, more power to her.

Ialie is right there; ISPs ARE not only slow but also crewl and unusual punishment. I loved her old sig (and wondered who all those faces were) but all but cried when it came to loading the thing. The cache didn't help either for some reason.
