Since the administration is getting sensitive about the subject why don't we just close the topic and leave it at that? The fact that insults are being flung around by them isn't helping the situation and obviously no light is going to be shed on the subject.

On a more serious note. I've had quite a few requests from mortals for details of quests, events, and such.

Allow me to make this perfectly clear, in nice simple terms for you all, because it is starting to annoy me quite a bit.

We are not going to tell you every little thing that you want to know about something we've made for you to sit down and puzzle out yourselves.

Personally.. I don't give a damn about the situation. I just want everyone else to shut up so we can avoid some trouble.

I wish the people who keep saying shut up would take their own advice and shut up themselves, because they're more annoying then the people who are the target of the 'shut up's. Hmm, confused yet? If you're going to request people to stop posting, do so nicely and drop it, because if you ask nice and it doesn't work, repeating yourself or being a jerk about it isn't going to help all that much.

I just want to clarify: Go read my post. I didn't demand anything. I didn't demand "every little thing" to be spelled out. I simply asked if some indication as to what's going on would be forthcoming. Apparently, Viravain had her essence destroyed and faded into nothingness. Maybe we're all just stupid but, no one seems to have any indication of what has happened. So I asked if we could get an indication.

For this I have been twice personally insulted by a member of the administration, and generally called an idiot, child, moron by everyone else.

I simply asked for the first piece of the puzzle. I like a good event as much as the next person, but currently we're all stumbling around blindly, and IC it looks as though our matron has dissolved into the either.

Not to be rude, but when has a member of the administration ever released IC info OOC? I mean... it just doesn't work that way. Ask Shikari IC maybe... but not here.

When an administrative member of a game we play tells someone they're an idiot OOCly I see an issue. I don't care if that doesn't affect you and if you take pleasure from reading this thread in its current state, but don't add more mud where it isn't needed.

Yeah, I agree the admins calling people idiots was out of line, but their forums, their rules I guess. I didn't see the 'shut up's being directed at the people calling other people idiots, but if they were, I retract my above statement for this situation, but I stand by it in general forums discussions.

The comment before was not solely intended for you, Anumi, and I am quite capable of reading.

However, there is a relatively widespread, or seemingly widespread, sentiment amongst players that we're some kind of quest hint system. Some people have even gone so far as to ask us to explain the formulas which run certain parts of the game.

I'm making a general statement here. We're not here to just outright give you answers on demand. We're not even here to give you the starting pieces of the puzzle.

Yes, we design the quests and events. Yes, enough information is there for you to act on, but you have to find it. No, we are not going to help you find it.

Does that clarify things for everyone?
