Wow... Last night I went to the Elton John concert at Memphis. That was freaking awesome. I kept thinking I wasn't gonna do the fan girl thing when he got there, but GAH I had the stupidest grin on my face for 3 hours. We had really good seats, direct view of him playing the piano, and for once there weren't tall people in front of me. It was just amazing and the crowd was dancing and singing. I swear.. even if you aren't a big fan his concerts own your soul. This is the first concert I've ever been to and woo.. that was fun. I wanna do it again!
Not to mention being in the party central of Memphis, TN. I got to eat the best onion rings ever. And I dislike onions. Those kicked arse. Like.. a lot. Like.. eat till you get sick good.
Only bad thing was getting stuck in traffic for over an hour because of a wreck. Made me all sad and stuff because I know the people involved died. It looked like Kethuru decided to use the car that got hit for a chew toy. The one that did the hitting caught on fire and was torched to hell and back. It took.. 2 helicopters, 4 ambulances, 2 tow trucks, and loads of cops to clean it up. What bothered me most was when they were taking the cars off a piece of clothing from one of the bodies fell out of the car and into the road. I kept thinking one of the cops would stop and pick it up, but no one did. People were too concerned with getting home than showing respect for the dead.
Ok, I'm done.. I had to post about the concert because.. it was awesome. Go buy Peachtree Road now.
How is everyone else's weekend going?

If you really wanna know, my weekend = school.

Studying like always.
Doing college applications.
Yeah. That's my weekend so far.

Some of the most unbelievable gay drama. If I were to post a full and detailed report of my weekend, Richter would cut his own genitals off, out of desperation and hatred for the male gender.
Oh yes. That bad. And amusing. If you aren't gay, anyway.

Poor Vix. Go to the doctor!
oh.. and I forgot about the drag queens that were sitting front row center at the concert. I actually thought they were women from afar, but once they got closer I think my eyes got the size of plates, because my brother wouldn't stop laughing at me..

I saw him back in the spring. Good show, bad audience though. Only trouble I had with the show itself was Rocket Man. It went on for something like 20 minutes. That got annoying after a while.
Going to see him again Wednesday. Different state, so hopefully it'll be a better crowd. However, this is in a venue that he said in the past he'd never perform in again so.... :/ We'll see how good the show is.
Your first concert? First concerts are always the best. Very thrilling. Glad you had a good time.

Sadly I noticed that too. Some songs seemed like they would never end. Rocket man isn't one of my favorites, but apparently it is his. I liked.. They call her the cat and Bitch. Those were the 2 best performed, but my favorite song is "Your song" which he played for the 2nd encore.

Heh, there's an Elton John "Red Piano" for sale at the piano shop where I take lessons. It was shiny...

I find this extremely amusing, and how I feel when my room mate plays that damn rap song "Gotta stay Fly" or whatever that shizzat is. The entire building thuds from the base, and it's detestable music to begin with!

Politely knock on the door and tell him to turn the music down.
My poor brother was an assistant to the floor advisor thingy at his old college and he had to go tell a man to close his door and turn the porn down once. For some strange reason that reminded me of that..

...One of my suitemates is a 6'9 black guy. You can tell him to turn it down. I just drop the AC to 50.

Woah. I'm not messing with that. Generally I throw things at my brother or just get some headphones..

Don't think I've ever heard that song, but 1) I do like some rap, but have very specific taste.; 2) I like my music very loud indeed, with little distortion, and my stereo system reflects this; 3) You have not heard loud music until you have heard Adam F's Kaos: The Anti-Acoustic Warfare at high volume, with the bass circuits and additional speakers set to full (It creates large amounts of wind that pulse out the sides of the speakers, and the room starts to vibrate, with windows occasionally coming a little loose).

You remind me of my dad and that is scary. He listens to his music so loud the whole house shakes. We have wayyy too many speakers in the basement and since he never changes the playlist unless he really hates a song he's usually shaking the house with my retarded pop music from when I was in the 8th grade.
For some reason I find the song "hokus pokus" by ICP very amusing and I keep listening to it over and over. I'm actually singing it too.. For those that know me closely.. yes.. you should be scared. This is like.. so much worse than Kidaen.

Sounds like this song (Sixteen Military Wives) from The Decemberists I've been cranking up on the stereo, or practically any of the Flogging Molly/Dropkick Murphy albums/bootlegs I've got. Impossible not to sing along, even when the song is about something rather dodgy.
