Check it out!

I made that book cover!

Other people wrote the book, so it should be free from bad spelling.

EDIT- Does this mean your going to soon be Omni-Trans and have all the arties and be even scarier than you are now? happy.gif

Thank you!

Makes me feel all gooey inside.

I only get paid if people buy the book, but I'm working on the website and forum now.

Is the book any good? Like.. give a brief synopsis if you can
Vix2005-11-07 01:08:22
Did you even read the book? tongue.gif

I enjoyed it.

Here is the official blurb of what its about.

The Elfin Emperor rules over multiple Kingdoms of Elves, Centaurs, Dwarves, Syrons, Half-elves, and Humans. One of the Imperial Princes, Morais, hires a lawless band to kidnap his own twin brother. He plans to stage a rescue and gain his father’s respect. When an unexpected rebellion threatens to destroy the Empire, he acquires an Ivory Sword, hoping to influence cosmic forces and become the leader destiny requires. As the Empire shakes, Morais must gather allies. However, the kidnappers enter the rebellion and he now fears a fraternal confrontation when his twin discovers the kidnapping plot. While he procrastinates, deadly intrigues disrupt all the Kingdoms. He therefore must lure the politically impotent Humans and Syrons into an alliance. Ensuing battles with astounding, unworldly enemies might induce him to abandon his self-indulgent scheming so he can protect his father’s throne.

Few keypoints I really like.

1. Moral relativism

2. Centaurs are not half human and half horse, but rather half elf and half deer. (Like they are suppose to be)

3. Some neat stuff in the background having to do with Natural will, vs. Free will. (It basically says Elves and dwarves and the like have natural will (i.e. won't leave the forest and try to live in the desert or the like, while Humans have unpredictable free will and will go where ever they damn please)

4. I love the mythology. There are no "gods" per say.

5. Too many plot twists and surprises to really say more about the story line.

And it reads like a good betime story to me.

edit: Those are Ravens on the cover, not crows tongue.gif And they play a really important part in the story. All six of them.

Edit2: Some people I know really like the book because of the charachters and how unique they are, and they get quite attached to them. And women I know seem to really like the Syron race, but I prefer the Centaurs personally.

edit3: Don't know if its a surprise I'm not suppose to give away but "Half-elves" are 2.5 feet tall instead of 5 feet. Not half human, half elf. tongue.gif

Ooh..that sounds interesting...I might pick it up smile.gif

And congrats Daganev! really awesome

Congratulations, Daganev. That is quite impressive to hear.
Daganev2005-11-07 01:28:39
I'm in the middle of reading it again, as when I first read it , it wasn't "final" and kept changing every few days.

Its so much easier to read books in final form, rather than manuscript form.
Joli2005-11-07 05:17:33
Wow, that's awesome! happy.gif Good work!
Unknown2005-11-07 05:24:37
The book itself sounds like utter filth.

Good job on the cover, though. Maybe I'll buy it and tear out all the pages.
Unknown2005-11-07 05:42:29
It's good work, Daganev. smile.gif
Exarius2005-11-07 05:49:02
Congrats. smile.gif

Nothing like the feel of that first publication.
Daganev2005-11-07 05:50:58
Thanks... and Guido, just make sure you read the pages before you burn them. In order is prefable but who knows.
Unknown2005-11-07 06:05:52
Cool, congrads! It sounds very interesting - I'm going to give it a look next time I'm in Barnes and Noble.
Joli2005-11-07 06:23:41
That's an expensive book. sad.gif

Over $30.. Someone get me one for christmas!
Daganev2005-11-07 07:10:47
If there is interest I'll see if I can get some copies cheaper and sell them "used" through amazon.com.

Personally, I don't know why the publishers are selling the book for such an expensive price, maybe someone who knows anything about the business would know. So if there are enough of you, I can try buying at a bulk price and use the "buy used books" feature of amazon.com to get them to you.

edit: Should I count 3 so far?
