I have my character around level 18 and I know that soon I will be unable to use Newton for my bashing pleasure, and so I am looking for a new place to bash.

I already go weevil-hunting in the Serenwilde, but I'd like a more substantial place, especially since I often group bash with my friends...I have heard that the Sewers are a good place to go if you are careful.

Is this a boldfaced lie?

And is there a skill that you need to enter the sewers or not (I'm thinking along the lines of Aetolia)?

Or should I not bother and instead spend my time bashing "" in ""?

I'd advise you to the Tidal flats, you just need some minor triggers for mending and faeleaf there. Also, you need a skill in Environment, called 'sewers'.
Hmm...group bashing is awlays good, makes it not so boring.

Sewers tend to contain a few nastier creatures... as well as rats.. Magnagora has a bit of an eel problem, and I guess Celest probably would too.. Tidal flats are good.

From level 1 to like level 30-40 leading pilgrims scholars and supplicants for you if you are from Celest. Will be HUGE gold, exp and karma. I would not bother hunting until level 30-40 or if all pilgrims, scholars and supplicants are done.
And i think there a lot better places to bash then rats in sawers. Like rockeaters in mountains when you will be gathering scholars, rockeaters can be sold too, for 50gp each i think. You can kill or gather cows on highways when gathering pilgrims. you can also sell cows dead or alive to diffeent people in different villages.
And you need skill to enter sawers in here and its alot higher then this one in Aetolia.

As a Mugwump I was able to bash rockeaters from level 21, it's easy to just shield if they get more than two loads of damage on. And accompany that with pilgrims and scholars.

If you're Celestian, supplicants is immense.

As a tae'dae, I bashed Magnagora's sewers from level 21 to level 45.

Magnagora sewers always seemed worse to me than Celest sewers. Those one eels bursting into like 8 little ones annoyed the crap out of me as a Mugwump Nihilist.

I LOVED those eels as warrior. I use to see if I could get 200 mobs on me before offering.

But yeah, Sewers are really good. The problem with them is that once you reach level 50, they arn't so good, and you need to invest a lot into environment to be able to enter them.

Actually now I think about it you can be lead into the sewer's can't you? So you could do that and the teleport nexus out or something.

You don't need the sewers ability to get out just in.

You can only teleport in. You can't follow someone into sewers.

Pretty easy in a city though. You can get a friend to summon you in or empress you.

I just influenced my way to about level 50 and hit Water Plane once in a while. Prior to the guard upgrade, they gave 6% per successful influence, now it's probably even higher, though you do need high charisma and decent ego to tackle them.

3-21 was newtons. 21-50 was mountains/glomdoring/shallach swamp. 50-60 elementals. 60-77 astral/mountains/glomdoring/ shallach swamp/ inner sea/ sea of dispair/ and pking

Wish sewers skill was lowered. If you don't buy credits, by the time you get around to learning sewers, its not really worth hunting there any more. I was past level 80 before I got the skill.
