Welcome to The Taint Wars 4

Any role or variation thereof found in POSSIBLE ROLES may or may not be in this game. There may also be secret twists you don’t know about until they happen. This game is intended to be an introduction to mafia for inexperienced players. Because of this, the setup isn't too complex, however I will not be revealing it. Roles will be revealed upon death to give you something to work with.

The RULES
1. No quoting the mod. This means, no copying and pasting your PMs from me into your posts.
2. There will be no discussion outside of this thread, except at night, and only those whose roles say they can discuss at night can and only with those their role states they can talk with.
3. There will be a lynch when there is a majority vote. Once there is a majority vote, STOP TALKING. There is to be no discussion about the game in the thread in twilight or at night. (I will keep up to date with votecounts and how many it takes to lynch will be posted in the votecounts).
4. Once you are dead, you are dead. STOP TALKING. You may post once to give a ghostly cheer to your team after your role is revealed, but nothing else.
5. You may vote NO LYNCH if you want to move on to the next day without a lynch.
6. All votes and unvotes must be bolded or they will not count. Also, you must unvote before voting someone else or your vote will not change. Format should be in the form of vote: Joe and unvote: Joe
7. Please do not edit your posts. I consider it cheating and it does affect gameplay. If you make a mistake, too bad. I can’t necessarily catch you at this, but please try to be a good sport about it.
8. I will place a deadline if there is too much inactivity during the day. If a deadline is hit, the person with the most votes (at least ½ of a majority) will be lynched, otherwise it will be a no lynch. If two people have the same number of votes and ½ a majority, the first to have reached the number of votes will be lynched.
9. If you break my rules, I will modkill you. I don’t care what your role is.
10. The mod is always right, except when I’m wrong.
11. You must post at least once every 36 hours during the day portions of the game.

Since the disaster of Project Cosmic Hope, the touch of Kethuru has spread. It has affected everyone in the Basin of Life in one way or another. Those who are Tainted wish to spread the glory of their newfound power. Those who are not live in fear of times to come. Recently, obscure deaths of those who oppose the Taint have occured during the cover of Night. Now, only a few of you are left to oppose the Taint. You must root out the Tainted amongst you and put a stop to their menace. In the coming days you will discuss your theories and suspects and by majority vote, choose to lynch someone. At night those who oppose the Taint will do what they can, while the threat of the Taint is at its highest.

"Oh I think I'll allow the mortals to do what they will this night." Queen Maeve told Laeroc.

"Of course, Your Majesty."

"Awful nice of you to oblige us, dear Queen."

"Excuse me?" The Queen turns towards the second voice.

"Well, it means that you won't be stopping your own death."

With a slight raise of hand, the dark-cloaked figure summons a vortex of shadows, that wraps around Queen Maeve. Laeroc jumps forward. "My Queen!"

"Stay where you are." The other hand rises, pointing at Laeroc.

The Queen struggles, calling upon her fae magicks in an attempt to free herself as malevolent laughter fills the air. The figure lifts their hand higher and the vortex detaches itself from the Queen and enters her. Staring, grey-faced, the Queen opens her mouth to speak again, but is unable. Stepping forward, the figure waves a hand over the Queen's face, and draws out some internal organ, bound in shadows. The Queen slumps to the floor, with a last glance at Laeroc as her life drains away. Once again laughter fills the air as cloaked figure snatches the organ and skips away, muttering something about esaphagus sausage.

Iridiel, Queen Maeve, Roleblocker, has been killed in a very strange manner. (Non-tainted)

Most unfortunate, though the trials of the Fae are not my concern. Let us move forth, my people, and purge the tainted ones among us. Does anyone have information they are willing to share, or suspicions born of their actions this night?

it doesn't sound like a post restriction, wouldn't a post restriction be more severe? well, maybe there's more to it we don't know yet.

A post restriction is simply something that someone is required to do when they post. My guess is that someone imposed a restriction on him, or that Tsuki/Ibby has given him one for giggles .

There is no restriction upon my voice - I speak as I wish to, as I always have done. A strong backbone is needed to withstand these harsh times, and though it is difficult, such is the legacy I have inherited.

Of all the people to die before we could act, perhaps the Queen was the best to fall, for should she have used her power to mischevious end, as the Fae are wont to do, she could have easily caused much more harm than good.

i'm for lynching as ussual. we always have this conversation, though, not again, let's just work on information rather than this?

To fall into inaction is to allow the taint to wash over us in a wave, slaughting us one by one in our slumber.

I agree with Shorlen, not voting someone out today just gives the taint a bigger advantage. But it will most likely be completely random.

So you just chose to speak as though you woke with a bad case of Shakespeare? FoS:Shorlen, I don't believe you. Any time in previous games where someone has posted like this it has been because they have been forced to, either by the mod or by a role that is able to set post restrictions on people.
