On an unrelated note, if I may be so bold, Princess, you should not have revealed your powers! Now the Tainted will be sure to either kill Revan (and we'll never know whether Ashteru is Tainted or not) or kill you!

Well, I am not sure if Cwin is tainted...the evidence is clear there though, as the Princess said. But I am not completely convinced about the fact. I might be paranoid about the tainted, but I also don't want to risk killing an innocent...

I said as much, but it is alright. I will protect myself this night, as it is obvious enough to me where the final tainted wretch lies.

I'll only have this chance to say it. Once I'm gone there's still ONE change that we have. Once I'm dead I'm sure you'll believe me, so here it goes.

For the Tainted to win, they'll need to make one more kill tonight. Shorlen, try to protect the person you believe the tainted will kill. If you block it, kill off a tainted the next day, then do the same the next night we'll still be able to win. Unless you pull my throat from the rope it's your only chance.

Even if Revan does not survive the night, we will already have enough information to know who the last tainted scum is without his help.
I hate to leave Revan to such a fate, his scrying powers have been a keystone, in both finding tainted and innocent.

Cwin, you are forgetting, I can kill a tainted tonight. Even if you are innocent, which is not possible as far as I'm aware, unless the tainted are stupid and not getting a quick-kill on the vigilante, It would mean both Etanru and Ashteru are tainted, I kill one, we lynch the other.

I aslo find it interesting how you beg for mercy, yet in spite of the lack of anyone else claiming to be vigilante, you will not withdraw your vote to lynch me.

If you thought I was guilty from the first, though, why didn't you kill me last night?

I know I'm not supposed to talk at night, but my computer recently exploded over the weekend, and I'm stuck without one until my father brings home his laptop... so yea, that would explain my silence. I should be back on tuesday.

As I haven't yet received all the messages I should, we're likely not starting up again for a bit anyway. No worries.

Just to update y'all, all choices have been in and I sent the summary to our wonderful Ibby. If she doesn't post anything in 2-3 hours, I will. (I'm currently working on an assignment that I need to submit by the deadline in 2 hrs ... someone somehow keep me away from browsing the forums while I'm conducting research and writing?! )

But yes, we'll be continuing soon.

Revan drowsed in a chair before the fire, worn out by the discussions of the day. He hadn't intended to sleep yet, but exhaustion had won out. Neither his own snores nor the soft creak of the door opening woke him.

"You shall not harm this one!" a ringing voice suddenly cried out, jolting Revan awake. He blinked wildly, dazed eyes seeing a slender, insubstantial figure guarding him and another, swiftly retreating out the door again, beyond. His protector vanished as well, leaving Revan wide awake. Regardless of exhaustion, all possibilities of sleeping were gone for the night.


Elsewhere, Etanru stood in the shadows beneath a tree. Soon, another figure approached.

"Well?" Etanru asked impatiently. "Is it done? Wait, you're not--"

The other halted, and spoke in a soft, feminine voice. "No more of this, Tainted scum."

As Etanru inhaled sharply in surprise and reached for his weapon, a rush of fire engulfed him, bringing some form of cleansing to his Tainted body. When the fire faded, the other stepped forward to examine what remained, nodded in satisfaction, and walked away.


In the morning, the charred corpse of Etanru, Gib Gladheart, Godfather and Tainted is found beneath a tree. With the rise of the sun has come the time for discussions once more.

Quite obvious it is to me who is left and untainted. Revan, you were protected last night - they fell for my simple ruse. Thus is it proved that we are both innocent. There is a small chance that Dith is a serial killer, but I do doubt it, as a serial killer would have slain more often than Dith has - Dith has only killed others when it seemed the right thing to do, from my perspective.

I cast my vote for Ashteru, the final member of the Taint.

Well, because of the successful protection last night, If I am a serial killer, you can still lynch me tomorrow. If I am not, well, we will know our victory before then.

As for my logic being wrong about cwin... I was counting on the taint rushing for the kill on me yesterday when they had the option to - Doing so would remove our nightkill ability and make it much more likely for them to win.

Anyway, It is evident to me as well to vote ashteru
