Aye, probably right. Though his words towards the Queen were rather suspicious.
Is there anyone who hasn't spoken up yet?

You think a tainted would causually make the comment in public speach, "Oh, how nice, I'm so glad that person we killed is dead!"? Of all those to have died from the town, a roleblocker is the best for us. The Tainted are not going to kill their own. Better would it have been if the one targetted was protected, but such is nigh impossible the first night. Better would it have been if the one targetted was a cultist or a serial killer, but I do not think either are about this time (a 'simple' world would not have a cult, and only one person died, so likely not a serial killer, unless the other target was protected).
Scriers (determine someone's innocence/guilt) are invaluable for scenting out the tainted scum who infest our Basin of Life with their deception. Even if they know not what they do, their nights are never wasted. Naive or Paranois scriers are a problem, but I do not believe they are about in a world with 'simple' roles.
Protectors (keep someone from dying at night) are invaluable later, when the targets of the wretched tainted scum become more obvious, more easy to predict. If they know not what they do, still can they be lucky, and save the life of a townsperson during the day.
Trackers (discover someone's night targets) are useful if they are intelligent, and harmless if they are not. Information is never a detriment.
Vigilantes (kill at night) are amazingly useful if they are highly intelligent, and can be sure who the tainted are before the rest of the Basin will agree. If they are not intelligent enough to do so, they at least stay their hand, knowing the full weight of their actions.
Though Vigilantes worry me from time to time, for haphazard killing brings us faster to ruin, Roleblockers (stop someone's night action) are the ones I worry about the most. Only one tainted person acts per night to kill, and the tainted pick their most unassuming to perform that kill. Even if they are certain someone is tainted, the tainted still choose among themselves who will perform the murder, so certain protection can never be garunteed. An intelligent roleblocker can easily help us all near the end of the conflict, but if they are not careful and use their powers randomly, they will block scries, trackings, and they could block a protector who is about to save someone's life.
Such is the reasoning behind my comment that, of all the un-tainted people to die, I am glad it was a Roleblocker and not a Scrier, Protector, Tracker, or Vigilante.

As a sign of goodwill (coughsnickercoughsnortcoughcoughcough), I'm going to unvote NAVARYN and VOTE TENQUAL. Say something!
I'm also going to remove my FoS on Shorlen, since he's already explain why he was so happy/uncaring at the Queen's demise, and his possible speech... mannerisms.. whatever.
But really, let's not have this day drag on and on. Get on with the random votes!

Tenqual's been prodded.

Looking for a replacement for Tenqual who thinks schoolwork is more important than this game. Pah!
Revan replaces Tenqual effective immediately.

Ok, I'm going to go out on a limb here. I'm your scrier, and I have deduced that Elryn is Tainted. Lynch him, and if it turns out I'm right, I want a guardian to protect me so we can get this done quickly and painlessly. If I'm wrong, and Elryn is innocent when lynched, well, you know what to do. Vote: Elryn
Unknown2005-11-12 00:48:00
Heh, the silence is kind of amusing. Anyways.
I'd like to hear from Elryn, but for now, my vote is still for Revan, and I'll put a FoS on Revan.

I hate not editing or rereading. Augh. I meant to say - FoS on ELRYN.
Unknown2005-11-12 01:50:38
I've seen about five people come on this thread and not say anything - Revan just made a huge move. Let's do something on it?
tsaephai2005-11-12 01:53:30
i see tenqual reading
well, that works for me
VOTE: ELRYN
we'll just have to wait for him to claim.

Revan2005-11-12 02:26:35
It's a huge move, yes. I'm putting myself out on the line, and the best youcan do is trust me. Keep in mind it's DAY 1, so it's better to have a sure vote than a random vote. It may turn out that I'm right. If I am, then we have a VERY strong way to get rid of the Taint. If I'm wrong, then I'd say get rid of an insane scrier. So just trust me on this and vote for Elryn. If I'm wrong, just lynch me. You have nothing to lose.

Yeah, I grayed the names of people where they're otherwise known as that or, as in Tenqual's case, they were replaced. Better just to use forum names, in my opinion, but I'm sure various people (myself included) will persist in using both .

i'd now suggest before anyone else votes for him we wait for elryn's responce. cause if you're the last to vote for him and you don't give him a responce you're going to look quite suspicious...
and also, what if revan's an evil scier? he might have found that avaer was a really good one of our people...

We have to kill someone, right? Why not Elryn? All he will likely do is come on and claim a power pro-town role in the hope that people will not risk killing him just in case.
Revan is playing a very dangerous game if he is lying and I think he knows enough to know that it's just plain silly to do so.

Not saying he should not get a chance to claim, just that I don't think it will make a difference.
