It was fun. Everyone who participated was -amazing-. Cairam and Ashteru in particular... I had the entire ritual written up for me to use, and didn't give them anything to work with... all they had to work with was their immediate reactions and quick thinking.
Edit: Xenthos was amazing as well, by the way. I didn't expect him to show up at all, and some of his reactions, especially after the ritual, were wonderful.
A big thank you to everyone! I like it when people come to rituals I write.

I was so lost...
Verithrax2005-11-18 03:10:56
That's alright, Ash - Verithrax didn't have a concept either. I think you should play a really methodically evil charater, someone who plots and manipulates instead of fighting. Just because the Basin needs one of those.
Unknown2005-11-18 03:12:49
It's very hard to do consistently.

Who says the basin doesn't have one of those?

You were expecting it this way? I was trying to get you to help lead him around / describe things for him, but you ran off.Â

I was wondering if it was preplanned - it was still a nicely played out scene though.:nod::
Also, cool ritual Josun and Galatae.
Oh for your RP. How about having scary images of Glomdoring haunt you? Every time you see a crow or something, you will just go berserk. Or maybe you could start remembering bits and pieces, but not how they really happened. So now you think your old best friend is your worst enemy, or something to that effect.

I think I've managed to give the exact opposite effect, during my leading him around showing him the entire forest again...

Log pliz post Log wanna log! *drools*
Cairam2005-11-18 16:56:56
Umm... Did anyone log it? I didn't...
But if anyone posts a log, make sure you keep the part where Koloff picks his nose towards the end. I was about to glare at him, but him picking his nose in the background versus the events taking place was fairly minor. I just thought it was funny, how he had to add his little part.

It's huge. I didn't log it, but it's in my buffer- just saved it to a file and have to clean it up, so much excess stuff in it and I'm currently late. Only have the actual ritual and the aftermath, not the time I spent guiding a really old novice around the Glomdoring, but if that part's really wanted too and he doesn't mind, I can add it in.
Ashteru2005-11-18 19:35:27
I am very, very, VERY happy that the ritual finally happened, and I am VERY thankfull to everyone who participated, especially Josun who made that all possible, Cairam for kicking up my sleeping desire to RP and Xenthos for RPing with Ash for a LONG time after the ritual, and helping him find his way.
By the by, how Ashs character will be will be affected by several things. I think I already said it, so I won't repeat it...just....meet him Ingame and find it out.
And Ashs not old! Ripe's the word!
And I don't mind, I'd love it if you could send me the log too, if you want I can clean it up as well....I just want to have this breakpoint in my characters life somewhere safe, along with other special moments.

I knew there was something I forgot...
Xenthos2005-11-18 21:43:54
Never fear, I have it all saved in this text file! That... uh... needs a few hours of editing. Ashteruuuu, I need a location to send it to so you can do all the hard stuff!
Ashteru2005-11-18 21:45:51
Don't fear, Ash is here.
Sent per PM.

Galatae2005-11-18 22:26:51
Post it when it's prettied up!
Ashteru2005-11-18 22:43:42
That could take a bit...I am working on it for what, half an hour now, and I have around 1/4 of it...
Galatae2005-11-18 22:45:03
I can wait.
Cairam2005-11-18 23:08:24
Considering Xenthos had no clue what was going on, I was a bit worried when Ashteru started... Threatening observers. I was expecting for Ashteru to get killed, but Xenthos played along very well. Thank you, Xenthos!

I actually almost did... had to make a decision not to. As you saw, I played up the fact that under normal circumstances he would have been a little Ashteru bloodsplat.
