I have loved Lusternia since it first came out. I used to be so involved with Achaea as the character Antreus but just Achaea in general was really wearing out for me. I hated the forestal community there and I tried so hard to get a different perspective for people to accept. I hated how there was no conflict at all. I hated how forestals had complete control over curing. I hated how everything took a neutral undertone. I hated how orders usually preached the same thing.

So slowly I started drifting and spending more time in beta with Lusternia. I just loved the village concept and that we could influence. This truly drew me to Lusternia. My most memorable times were killing Magnagoras when we all sucked at PvP. When everyone sucked at PvP I was the least suckiest and that made me happy. I loved defending against raids in our villages it was so exciting. I loved hearing some dwarf from Southgard or some child screaming for help and we would all rush to save them.

I love roleplaying that I'm from Delport even though I don't even know how to speak french properly. (Please forgive me). I have loved every moment of all the raids that Magnagora ever had on New Celest. I loved having the entire city locked down because we had lost so many resources. I have loved losing. I have loved watching them break all our doors before they fixed it. I loved it how they stole all our commodities because of the doors. I loved it when Isune had to make a greater pentagram to save people at the Pool of Stars. I have loved the fact that Magnagora has always had an edge on things. I have loved that they used to destroy all our statues. I have loved having -5,000 power in the Pool of Stars. I have loved reachings 600,000 power now in the Pool of Stars. I have loved developing my character in this game. I have loved the internal conflict of Celest. I have loved the Celestines. I love the skillset healing even though I could never make a system for it with succor taking balance. I love astrology even though it is so complicated it takes a system to tame (which I have). I love starchanting benediction on everyone in Celest. I like being important in Celest. I like being known as the only person who claims to be from Delport and has roleplayed it through. I have loved being in Raezon's Order being a 'light' in the obscurity of it for the sake of New Celest alone. I have loved being the black sheep of Celest. I love so many of you but in game we are so apart we cannot speak. I love the fact that if we ever roleplayed on the same time we would be great friends. I love the fact that Aebrin stole all our arena gold. I love karma curses and blessings. I love being a human and knowing that I picked it for RP alone. I love the fact that now humans gain stat points. I love the fact that I can have a level 3 regen for exp. I love the debating system, and I love influencing. I love sanctuary and crusade. I love being a chef because hardly anyone is. I love having a shop since 101. I love having the title of oldest shop in celest. I love making money. I love having a lot of money and never really spending it. I love being an ex-pirate who used to raid Stewartsville supply lines. I love the fact that I turned my pirate ship into a trading ship and company. I love that my surname in french means strong mountain. I love it that my name means protector of the people in Navajo. I love Dumihru. I love Estarra. I love myself. I love being vain. I love caring about people. I love roleplaying. I love knowing everything about everything and nothing about one thing. I love people. I love conflict. I love Isune. I love Rafael. I love having been the Trade Minister four times. I love all the good times I have had. I love all those that left Celest however I miss you. I love how Celest struggles in the Basin like they should. I love the feeling that everyone is against us. I love having to struggle against the sanctify of the Basin against the taint of Kethuru. I love being right, because I always am. I love being the trademaster of Twilight Delights. I love my double-kafet gateau, its to die for. I love the rp in my guild I've created after 40 years of game time. I love watching my guild grow with the RP I've created. I love my guild members. I love Karrah too. I love Rexali. And I loved returning the Hand in attempt to free Hallifax. I love Hallifax. I love creating food. I love thinking about Daevos as a food item. I love seeing women as dancing food waiting to be devoured. I love the sea. I love Celestia. I love Rhysus. I love the Fae Conflict and how I hated Rhysus. I love the fact that I know love Rhysus. I love how I used to know Kaileigh when she was an Aquamancer. I love remembeing when Kaileigh was the only aquamancer defending against a horde of Daevos and allies. I love running a shop with Dumihru. I love the friendship dumihru and I have with each other. I love being frank in private. I love being an ass in public ( with grace of course). I love creating outfits t wear. I love Lacostian. I love knowing that Lacostian and I used to be friends in Achaea but can't roeplay that. I love Roark. I love to wish that I was in Roark's Order because I know I would be his favorite. I love living. I love how Nokraemnon or whatever his name is tries to make Celest look bad in his obscure convoluted pish posh writings. I love Tully and how he's everything and nothing at the same time. I lov that I'm goin to be in his book of favorite people. I love giving to this game. I love being apart. I love getting ideas from lusternia to use in my art. I love making stories about my character with my friends and collaborating on past histories befor Celest. I love women. I love looking good in front of women. I love inrigue and plot. I love being an ubermenche. I love being a leader even though its second nature. I love taking responsibility and reveling in the glory of accomplishment that someone could have had with a little effort. I love having bought Thorgals system and am too busy to use it. I love being confused on how Thorgals system works. I love having helped a Magnagora buy that new artifact to kick my ass. I love learning about life itself by playing MUD's.

What say you?

I'd show you my actual weapon of choice, but it might scare a few people off. Not the most friendly thing in the world, but incredibly good fun to play with.

I can't wait till YoLF get's a hold of that....comment.

I know, YoLF has a penchant for such things.

However, so he can't make it incredibly dirty, this is what I was talking about.

Perfect for putting an end to those demonic otters.

I'd never use that on an animal. I have hunting rifles for that. That, my friend, is not a gun but a precision instrument - took me six months of tuning before I had it shooting even vaguely like I wanted it to, and then another year and a bit before I was happy with it.

As a result, it gets treated VERY carefully.

Dirty enough for you? smile.gif

Not only that but they were arguing who got control over the demesne at the Pool of Stars, lol. They didn't think Kaileigh was important enough and I told them to shut up. Thats all I remember.

seriously, that is so friggin cool. I wanted to get into a sniper/spotter team while i was in the army but i was in the artillery corps so i had to settle for blowing things up from a long distance. I had a good enough grouping to gain entry into the sniper school too.

On that note, this is the exact gun we used to use, and one of our set ups too.

My job on the gun was to stand where the guy on the right is, and open the beach getting a face full of burnt cordite (gunpower) It was better than crack!

EDIT: Notice we actually stand INSIDE the gun, that thing dishes out some serious vibrations when it goes off on charge 7.
Asarnil2005-11-14 12:50:07
Murphy just loves that gun, it negates all feelings of inadequacy he normally has halo.gif
Murphy2005-11-14 13:01:48
i have no inadequacy, I like like to blow censor.gif up

EDIT: Stoppit, I'm still here! ~Shiri~

I love Lusternia too.

I love that people notice if you help. I love the idea that you can design something, and know that years and years from now, even if you aren't there anymore, that thing you designed? That ring or shirt or book or cake, that'll still be there for everyone to enjoy. I love that you don't have to be a big fighter to help your organization. I love that there are so many choices in skills that no two people are just exactly alike. I love that there's crazy competition and conflict. I love that most people really pull together when it happens.

I'd list some more things, but I'm hella late for work as it is.

I have a new appreciation for Lusternia - especially after last night.

I was here at the beginning, but left. I came back, then left again. I had this grand idea of what I wanted in a game and I was trying so hard to make Lusternia fit that mold. After a while of doing this, I kept getting frustrated. In the back of my mind, I knew I did like many of the features of the game so when I came back this last time, I gave up and finally to just enjoy the other things that Lusternia has to offer. I did this and found that I do like it, I was just to stubborn to realize it. It's a bit different that what I'm used to, but that's a great thing. Change is good.

I do like it here and I agree with the above poster. Its cool to get recognition for something, even if what you do is very simple. Also, its good to know that anyone and at anytime could do something significant to the game's world. Its hard to find that in games that have 1000+ players on at any given time.
Richter2005-11-14 19:09:18
I love every aspect of Lusternia but the players. smile.gif

Though, some of them are bearable. *tease*
