Actually, it wouldn't, I coded that as a shortcut for Gods already. We are already considering it being an investable power for Avatars, but I'm considering it as an expensive Order power too.

It seems like a personal goal and IC its an integral part of my characters RP.
I would be unhappy if they were NERFED combat wise, but not if they were CHANGED combat wise. I do think avatars should be special but I remember when I got to ironrealms and I was looking for which mud to play the factor that pushed me to lusternia was that I could one day become a demigod. And BAM I had a charater that was totally based on that fact. I toyed with the other muds on IRE but nothing seemed as cool. Of course though now im hooked.

You can become a Demigod without the aid of a Divine, the Avatar powers are mainly Order-related anyway, so they wouldn't help you if you're set on not being tied to a God in any case.

Here's a thought: why dont we make it that when you become a Avatar/Demi-god your character becomes an npc that only occasionaly apears in the Prime/Ethereal/elementla/cosmic/asteral planes, and you are re-created as a compleatly different being? That way, the Awe and mistery of the Demi-gods wont be lost as more people gain that status. Instrad, you will have lots of new, changed beings that have a relationship with the assended being, like they where there last consus thought as a mortal made flesh, or the spawn of there union with a mortal. It would add some flavour to it.

Not to mention..what if suddenly your commune/city/guild leaders turn into NPC's because they got Demigod? O.O
