link to download thingy

This is the song I used to audition for the lead in Guys and Dolls last year.

Someone download it, because it took a long arse time for me to upload it. It -should- only take a minute to do so and I am on dial up.. so you guys should go faster than that.

I'm guessing that's not good.

laughing1.gif It's probably the song.

I think the song was cute.. the character was cute. She is the leader of a dance group (at a place called the "hotbox") and has been engaged 7 years. Very naive. tongue.gif

damn.. could you fit any more dipthongs into each vowel? ...what is the accent?

Kinda funny though.

In a sort of.. I don't quite know what to make of it way.

1940's Northeast = very very effed up accent.

and what is a dipthong? No one I know knows what it is.
Richter2005-11-20 01:23:30
In phonetics, a diphthong is a vowel combination usually involving a quick but smooth movement from one vowel to another, often interpreted by listeners as a single vowel sound or phoneme. While "pure" vowels, or monophthongs, are said to have one target tongue position, diphthongs have a moving tongue.

no, that's definantly not a north east accent, that's a southwest accent, that's what people from "new yoik" sound like.
north east is like maine, ayup.

EDIT: very nice singing, by the way.

it's further southwest than maine, so it's southwest.
