Well, short ago there was an impressive ball in the Stormwind city (one with a pretty medieval look, and a catedral and a keep where the king is...) with so many people they almost crashed the server.
Of course there were some idiots trying to disrupt things, and there were GMs checking for them and weeding them out.
Pity they cannot weed the idiots on a daily basis.
Regarding level 60, well, I have one and you're always busy. The high level instances (wich is the only thing worth doing, as the others can be stormed the moment you get an idea on strategy and equipment) need between 20 and 40 people. That means, the game only keeps me busy 2 or 3 afternoons a week (the days we raid) but it's a pain to organize for said 20/40 people of the right classes to be around. I probably spend more time on our forums than in the game. Out of the instances, though, you can have quite a bit of fun RPing, but always in small groups, don't expect a cool event like our Lusternian divines pull out the sleeves for us.
It's a different game than lusternia, that calls to different tastes than what you'll fin here. I play it just because I find it more relaxing and less time consuming than lusternia (I can go there, 4 hours on friday and sunday, and forget about it the rest of the week) and has nice graphics.
But when I want to RP or a world in development, I would just go to Lusternia if I still played, or just go playing table rolegames.

yeh i might get the expansion...
I'm horde, lvl 41 undread shadow priest by the name of Urlach (so i'm an unoriginal bastard!)
I kill alliance on sight but, corpse camping is just lame. Its allowed on the PVPRP servers too, and some alliance camp hardcore

At this moment, I keep saying I won't get the expansion.
Of course, I'll be proven wrong, as it happened when my bf got the game and I swore I would never buy a copy for myself, and just play on his account when he wasn't playing. I lasted two days before going to the shop and buy one of the very few remaining copies available.
But if it's already a pain to organize 40 people for a high-end raid and keeping them around for the 4-5h we can spend in a session, and then come back another day for the remaining of the dungeon, I cannot imagine how will it be for the high 100 people dungeons they wanted to put in the expansion.

I didn't buy a copy, i just waited for people who already bought the copt to get over playing it, and let me use their account

Lucky you, the nearby people who play are all much more adicted than myself.

I'll get the expansion. I have a few low to mid level characters on Kilrogg (PvE) and I'm just starting some new ones on Frostmourne (PvP - Oceania).
