Guido is regarded as an excellent thinker by nine of out ten homocidal sociopaths.

Azrion doesnt have a ton of little essays, if you want a ton of little essays look at what Rhysus did. His work isnt even his own. Azrion is a great thinker because he knows what he believes in and isnt afraid to show you why he believes it without trying to kill you.
Hell, he even took Diamondais to Nil to show her why he believed that Magnagora and the Nihilists were his place. And in his hoping, hers.
He's written things saying that you should just take life as it is, if things are down theres always the possibility of new beginnings. Also a study of the Light and Taint. Tried to show that some things were just plain wrong.
Okay...enough of me defending Azrion who doesnt probably need it

Being a great thinker shouldn't be based off how many books you publish, IMHO.
Yay for me being the first one suggested (even though Jack was the only one I ever talked deep with , so hes the only one that would know.) Speaking of which, in all serious Jack was a great thinker, in a very twisted sort of way.

Gwylifar (wordy or not, he made me think a lot), Elryn, Alger surprised me sometimes with stuff I hadn't considered, Shikari and Elcyrion.

Azrion's also a great thinker. He has... HOW many publications?

Im with yeh there. He is quite insane over his writing though...
I think its wrong to even dispute Azrion's genius though. You should know better Guido.
EDIT: Hehe, by the way. I dont think anyone can dispute that most of Lusternia's great thinkers are Nihilists

Let's keep the philosophy talk to the mortals. Gods are supposed to be brilliant. They're gods, after all.

Skyla, Ibaesha, Nejii and Shorlen. Thems people who put thoughts into their actions.
silimaur2005-11-23 12:06:06
lots of people will hate me for this but one of the people that had a huge impact onthoughts ideas and actions (mainly in celest) was rafael, his ideas and stance and view has been passed on through many different people and will probably stay around forever

indeed.
99% of the published books are just 200 word pamphlets churned out for culture points anyway.

reading is overated, why read when you can be slashing things

There are actually a lot of people who impress me with their creativity, depth of thought, and reasoning in Lusternia.
Nokraenom is always a pleasure to converse with, his character has one of the most calm and rational demeanors I have seen. I've seen some wonderful ideas and extrapolations from him, and he is very clever diplomatically.
Jasper is another that I highly respect (although I am biased) for the depth of research and understanding that he maintains. He always shows an amazing grasp of the Lusternian mythos, and I really rely on him for a lot of the conceptual links that need to be made between various pieces of information.
Gwylifar for sure, for all the reasons that have been mentioned above. Absolutely phenomenal mind and just a vast experience that comes across usually as a maturity in his ideas and perceptions.
I miss Melanchthon, because oocly he was another amazing reasoner (I'm sure it was him). If only a fraction of that went into his character, I have no doubt he would be considered one of the sages of the Basin.
Rhysus, Ashar, Rexali I haven't really met, along with so many others, no doubt.
Really though, it is so rare to come across an older player in Lusternia that isn't a thinker. I am particularly impressed with all the other leaders of Serenwilde in our discussions, as I always feel quite dwarfed by their insight and intelligence.
God-wise, it's almost a pre-requisite. Lisaera (...whoa), Elcyrion, and even Viravain are incredibly clever and perceptive, and we won't mention Estarra and Roark as they go without saying. No doubt the other divinities are as well.
Don't include me in this list though - I'm not a thinker, I'm simply a whiner. Slight but substantial difference.

"Words are like light. The more concentrated they are, the more deeply they burn."
I really wish I remember which writer I'm quoting, but I've truly found them words to live by.
The revolutionary thinker is not one who rambles on, but who streamlines and simplifies an idea so that it becomes accessible to others.

Being perceptive is simply aligning your perceptions with what you see rather than what you think you see.
