All that says is Daevos has overpowered swords, he is the only pureblade i know that can do that and with the new caps its not happening for anyone else. Please stop using Daevos as a example for all of us he is the most overpowered example everyone uses try using me or any other pureblade which have adverage swords.

As long as one person can do it, it's overpowered, I'm not sure how you can argue that it's not.

Its hard to get for any one but him. You have fought me you had no greatrobes and i still couldnt get it off. So your saying since he is the the few or only person with a sword which most likely pass 520 on percision with most likly good great rune wounds. Me with none of that can barely tap 509 with forging runes should pay? Think of other people then just one person who can do that. With the caps put in we arnt reaching that so that problem is fixed the skill it self is hard to get off if you have doubts see me IC ill show you.

Yes, I know you said that the rest of you can't do it, but the fact that one person can and seems to manage to rather consistently makes it overpowered in that person's hands, and it needs to change somehow.

Its not possible to make godly weapons anymroe and thie few that exist with those ultra good runes will be godly. And noone ever will weapons as good as they.

Change to weapons was very good even if i was pissed cose i bought Forging Hammer a weak before it.
So i switched it for runes.
Its not possible to make godly weapons anymroe and thie few that exist with those ultra good runes will be godly. And noone ever will weapons as good as they.

So the easiest change to balance warriors is to lower their weapons to current caps? I completely agree. No point in caps if the main fighters all can ignore them.

That would be best, but what about those that have put tone of credits on runes like Murphy, ig his hammers would be changed to match caps he would say: Damn, i wouldnt buy those runes now, or i want them somewhere else.

Refunds. -shrug- If you keep it this way, you'll never balance warriors until those with insane weapons go dormant, because they are major fighters, and have to be taken into account. If my Moonburst did 2k, it wouldn't matter much, because I hardly ever fight anymore. If Narsrim's hit for 3k or something, though, it'd be a lot worse, because he does.

Your right, i would be all for lowering existed weapons to current caps if admins would give all credits for runes back, it would be still arti-credits.
And it would effect me too, i have 200 damage swords with rune. But mu runes are only +5 stats now elemental so i dotn do insane damage or wounding like thsoe that haev very good weapons with very good runes.

I already suggested this to Someone - They pointed out possible business ramifications (ie, "I spent a craploada cash and time on this weapon, now its nerfed? Lawyers ahoy!")
But really Admin - Ya'll created this problem, Ya'll have to fix it. Either make it possible for knights to be whorish, or bloody nerf them all.
As a post-weapon-nerf Paladin with no arties, I can say that I have (HAVE) to work for my kills. I can't just go "rightio, my insane ass 20/230/260 rapiers will cut through most people like butter!" and decimate players. I can't kill anyone half-decent (which, heh, means I can kill almost everyone I spar in Celest.. who doesn't have artifacts. Geb would definitely be a challenge.)
So yes: I think the post-nerf weapons are balanced. I think post-nerf weapons WITH artifacts are whorish but thats to be expected. I think pre-nerf weapons WITH artifacts is whats spoiling things.

Yes Admin, you /know/ I have the money but I'm not buying another lot of 2000cr just to artie rune up some craptastic set of weapons only to be decimated by those with "better" ones, better ones that can't possibly be forged. I don't agree with the artifact argument anyways: the runes themselves are not being changed (which is the "artifact part").
If the base stats on the weapons were adjusted to be in sync with the caps, people would surely try to complain, but that's too damn bad. The weapons were all forged and as a result, subject to adjustment.

Weapon damage can't go lower than 34.
Anyway, in case you guys don't recall, Elemental runes have been changed before, the damage conversion went from 50% down to 33%, and credits weren't refunded. Actually, I'm thinking of putting Thorgal's idea for elemental rune changes in the next envoy report as to lessen the high level of damage still around.

I agree with Ekard and Narsrim on this issue. The best solution I see is that the old weapons need to be placed at the upper end of the new caps limit. Either that or that there is created a soft cap, and anything above that cap increases the effectiveness of the weapon, but at a decreasing rate.
