Call it a pre-thanksgiving thread
So my house's heater broke down, it was never something I really thought about before. It was some 50+ year old thing and had been a constant problem in the past few years, but my dad always got it up and running again. This year it just totally craped out, and he had to replace it, but for the last month we didn't have any heat in the whole house, other then the oven, and 2 little electric space-heaters. Today, and yesterday guys are coming in from some heating place to install this new like 10,000 dollar heater/air conditioner top-of the line thing, that my dad splurged on.
So, I'm thankful for having heat again, and, come spring, having air conditioning for the first time in my life.

Yay, so we're going to have heat when I get home!
And if I haven't found a way to move out by next summer ... yes, the a/c will be heavenly. Now we just have to encourage him to get DSL or something other than dial-up.

I'm thankful for.. being so spoiled I have no clue what I'm thankful for.
I guess my internet connection and compus.
Ooh.. and the academic excellence scholarship I will be getting once I actually get all this stuff from NEMCC sent to them.

I'm thankful for electricity. You never know how much it's worth until you lose it.

Getting my meals, my clothes washed and ironed and the house cleaned. I've lived out of home and I know how much work it takes to keep a house in a decent condition, but my mum has it spotless nearly all of the time. I should probably tell her that I do appreciate it.

My house is never spotless and I'm thankful my mom hasn't beaten me for not cleaning my room(fully) in the past 4 years.. but I can sense it coming soon..

After Christmas.. when you leave all that wrapping paper on your floor for a few days.
What I am thankful for.. I guess I could say my family. They're a bunch of weirdos, but I know they'd do anything for me.
And my kitty! Lord knows she's more loyal than a dog even when I wrestle her without her consent.
Ugggh.. and she just jumped on me. I could be nice or..

Thankful for:
Living in a family that ressembles a close knitted mafia clan. We even accept bfs/gfs as adopted Korleones. In fact, they are welcome to come to the family meetings even when the actual family member they're involved with is busy elsewhere.
DSL (I've been 5 days without it, 10 still to go. I'll die of the withdrawal)
Working at a modern building with impressive views of the sport seaport in Barcelona, where everybody is silent or talks in a low voice, and actually do their job. And I get to practice my english! (I've been like 4 years looking for a job I liked, finally got it )
