Not at all, maybe i'm just not looking hard enough. But if i (for want of a better word) whore out the quests i knew (most of them) on a rough route every hour or so (or continuously, if the whole run takes a decent enough time) i could make from 10 - 50k an hour, and occasionally 200k in one run, depending if i'd stocked up on a certain easily found commodity, which if sold gets 50 gold per and offers a quick and easy followup quest for 2000 gold + 500 gold. Of course, Whyte's mapper made all this easier, but if you research Imperian you can make a stupid amount of gold that by rights, shouldnt be possible. I had tri-trans equivalent from 3 months of play, based solely on IC'ly bought credits.

Said mapper, mapping:
Map generating:
And pathfinding:
From there, i'd just hit go and it'd take steps at a rate of about three per second by silently and cleanly gagging the hasty message and forcing you to walk into said message at the fastest rate possible, it sounds like it wouldnt work, but it does, and walks at unbelievable speed. The problem with it in Imperian is a lot of people have it, and it also has an absolutely impeneterable curing system module which works a lot faster and more intelligently than any scripted one. It sorta has to be seen to be believed, not many people have used it and not gone "omg wtf?". Theres some things it can do that are barely even explainable, it knows too much.

For those asking me to watch their city, I actually do at times, but I'm busy alot. And when it comes to those things, I really only care about places like the Pool/Megalith/Tree's. Those are the most traveled area's in each city/commune, and the ones that really should be the most IC(not to say anywhere else shouldn't be but... you know what I mean).

It's actually very simple, see client scripting sucks. It just does. Even the best client's scripting abilities can't compare to simple true coding. What was done with the IMTS is Whyte essentially cheated, coded a system in C, and then found this program called MudBot to hack the I/O of clients, so it works just like it was scripted. Just better.
It's a great idea, and I'm surprised nobody has thought of doing it before now that I've seen it myself.
Hajamin2005-11-25 16:43:07
I've heard of some people that have found a way to write their healing triggers in C, and then install it as a plugin for Zmud... which is amazingly fast, and painfully time consuming to set up.

Hmm....*wanders off, beckoned by the power of DevCPP*

I made MudBot too. But IMTS has nothing to do with the fact that the Imperian Forums are down, nor with the reasons why Lusternia is better than Imperian. And I'm not a God, any coder can do that.

Lusternian divine are far sexier than any measly Imperian divinity. (I suppose the player base here is okay looking, as well.) That alone makes Lusternia better!

Granted, Lusternia's garden -does- have Fain who is le hot. But you cannot deny the sexy that is Dranor, Avasyu and Calix.
Viravain2005-11-30 22:05:21
