Just to get this off the other thread, I'll put it here.

Anyway, Shiri is simply a lucky bastard, who beats good decks with crap because of lucky draws. And 3 Jugans out of 3 packs? That's freaking insane.
Shiri2005-11-26 07:06:49
I think we already have a couple old threads about this, but whatever.

And no way is that all luck, Mr. Pollenbright-Wings-Every-Freaking-Round.

The Jugans were obviously just skill. tongue.gif
Sylphas2005-11-26 07:16:12
Jugan is a rare, from Champions. Playing CK/BK/SK you get 3 shots at him.
Pollenbright Wings is an uncommon, from Ravnica. Playing RV/RV/RV, I have 16. And I've only gotten two out of like, 5 times. You've pulled what, 3 Jugan out of 5? Now if I was playing Glare of Subdual every game, you'd have a point.
Shiri2005-11-26 07:20:04
You'll notice that I only played the Jugan once btw, so you can't really complain there either. tongue.gif
Sylphas2005-11-26 07:29:47
Yeah, and I had to concede in what, 1 turn after that because there was no in hell to stop him?
Terenas2005-11-26 07:39:34
Shouldn't you guys use IMs or something instead?
Sylphas2005-11-26 09:12:54
We used Skype last night. It was faster.
Joli2005-11-26 13:44:47
Do either one of you wanna buy my deck? pleasesign.gif

oh.. and someone buy my pokemon cards too. I have way too many of those. sad.gif

Well, people were responding on the other thread.

Sooo it made sense to Sylphas to make this one, apparently. But now people are talking less, so it looks bad. tongue.gif

Kamigawa is a blatant attempt to cash in on L5R. It annoyed me to no end when I saw some guy make a Nezumi deck. However, they have redeemed this shameful mistake with the new expansion, of which I wholeheartedly approve
Shorlen2005-11-26 20:55:01
Are you guys playing with App32 by any chance?
Arix2005-11-26 21:01:07
I'd just like to add that I hate the Kamigawa set with the burning fury of a thousand suns. Thank you for your time
Sylphas2005-11-26 21:03:16
Since I'm not sure what that is, I'm going to go with no. I'm keeping track with a solitaire Apprentice game and the Create Card function, and we're communicating through Skype/MSN.

Shiri: 4-0. OWNED.

Also, Ninth kicks so much ass in sealed, and Kamigawa seems to suck.
Arix2005-11-26 21:09:24
Kamigawa does suck. If you want to play pseudo-Japanese game with samurai and ninjas, you should check out Legend of the Five Rings, which does a far better job

App32 == Apprentice32 == the program you're using to play tongue.gif So, that's a 'yes.'
Shiri2005-11-27 01:25:10
Yeah, we're using App32, but it ain't connecting because apparently both Sylphas and I have ALL our ports closed or something stupid, so we use Skype instead. Also that makes it more fun to laugh at him going "Oh censor.gif" when I pull Jugan or somesuch. tongue.gif

And I'm having HUGE trouble getting a decent sealed Kamigawa deck now dry.gif every single freaking card I seem to pull in Saviours is absolutely awful in limited.

Hence Sylphas beating me four damn times in a row yesterday. sad.gif

Kamigawa's just great for flavour and in constructed it was super fun though. And I like Sensei's Divining Top etc. But I find sealed much more fun than constructed anyway. (Mainly 'cause I'm better at it...unsure.gif but also 'cause you see more kinds of decks.)
Aiakon2005-11-27 11:54:18
with all due respect... what the sod are you talking about?
Sylphas2005-11-27 20:22:11
Magic: The Gathering, a collectable card game where you build a deck to play against your opponent. Sealed is played by getting random cards, and building a deck from those. Constructed you build a deck from what you already have, or you can buy or trade for more. It's incredibly fun.
