I liked the "Timetta" or whatever they called her from MD block, actually...it's kind of a theme. And there's a 2RR Tim called Frostwielder in CK if I remember correctly. There're cute little nicknames for these things.

Alyssandra v. Sylphas v. Me...Alyssandra went down first, then me (despite a handy plague boiler) because Sylphas drafted like ALL my crap, watchwolf and last gasp and dimir house-guard and -everything-. And lurking informant. And I got shunted into like four colours because of it and got mana-screwed until it was too late. Although I did get a goliath spider, but he had fear by that point.

Elaria woulda played but had to go. We need more players!

Alyssandra cut me off from black in the second pack, but Shiri, who was supposedly in my colors, kept passing me awesome stuff. His first draft, so I guess I have to cut him some slack. He really needs practice.

First few turns I was beating face. Watchwolf on turn two, Nightguard Patrol turn three, Dimir House guard turn four, and Sewerdreg on five. All they had out by that time was a Drift of Phantasms, and Shiri managed a plague boiler, but not before I smacked them both to 10 or less.

Shiri popped the boiler, and I played the other Guard I'd kept, and a Golgari Thug. Killed Alyss, then chumped his Goliath Spider with Thug, grabbed a Sewerdreg when he died, and swung in for the unblockable kill after dredging back Thug next turn, putting Stinkweed Imp in my graveyard in case I needed to face off with the spider for another turn.

Best draft I've ever played in.

Yea, Boros turned out to be awesome in everything but the first pack, so all 3 of us ended up with unplayable red stuff and Sylphas didn't draw any, I got smash and I think Alyss got manascrewed too.

If you can draft on MWS, you could count me in for a few games - I don't think I could handle going back to Apprentice after playing on MODO and MWS.

Well, you can't multiplayer Apprentice regardless, and neither nor I can be connected to, so we just played using Apprentice and tokens to keep track, and then MSN to communicate.

And people are really spoiled. Apprentice is easier than real cards most of the time; MWS and such are just overkill.

Yeah, you know you should have gone red when a Sacred Foundry laps the table like 3 times.

We ended up drafting on netdraft (5253 port in UDP, not TCP, had problems with that for ages, and neither Sylphas nor I can host, and I don't think I have your MSN anymore Asarnil) but the actual communication was over MSN. It's really not that bad, I used to use a sheet of paper and just write things down but Apprentice has a nice create token function which is even better, especially if you're fairly familiar with Ravnica and don't have to make extra tokens for the cards abilities, heh.

And I ended up getting that sacred foundry, but none of the boros crap that I ended up having to draft EXCEPT a smash that was dead in my hand.

Oh, and Shiri, good info on Ravnica drafting has been all over Magicthegathering.com. It won't fill in for experience, but it's damn good help looking over a full draft. Also, they have draft viewers for tournaments, which is nice.

I'll try that, but right now I'm having difficulty connecting. Been playing with Hiriako and Elysiana (in theory) but it keeps crashing on Elly and I can't connect to Hiri. Trying to find someone who can act as a host is failing right now. Bah.

EDIT: Morik says it's my ADSL modem's fault and it's really hard to fix. Meh!

And I just won my first draft...I got some really nice picks. Even though I ended up with an unplayed tattered drake and allied strategies, I got a voice of all with soul link, holding off Alyss' 3/3 fear for a few turns. When she was on 2 life, she was just about to crush me a bit for 9 with a buffed up caldera kavu with keldon's mantle, but for some stupid reason Sylphas absorbed it, bringing her 15 damage wrath upon him and letting me win.

I could play, but I haven't touched that game in years! It would take me a while to get back into it I think.

I Absorbed so she'd hit me, and then I mana burned for the other 4 so she'd get second without me actually conceding. I had the worst deck, it was only fair.

It was still pretty dumb, you might have pulled something nice.
