Hmm you have to many points for level 87.
QUOTE(Richter @ Nov 26 2005, 07:29 PM)
Essentially he's right. I got an extra int and size as a warrior. That's not where I wanted them, but your overall stats go up, with a special few added to the ones your archetype needs.

No, NO! I'm going to get more points on Size!? 12 with diminish is enough! I don't need to get taller!
228393
You got size? I as warrior gte 1 point to int, 3 to str and con and 2 to dex so far. On level 95 i will get one more to dex according to Melanchthon.
QUOTE(Athana @ Nov 26 2005, 07:39 PM)
but size can be useful too, I just want to know if mages use Stength for anything at all, do they?
228394
Shieldstun will be only one that i can think of.

's what I said! Probably you got some strength from Geburah or something...and I am stuck with my 13!!! How unfair...>.<

Let's seeee... a human demigod would have 15 to all stats. That alone is pretty damn nice for a warrior, especially with no disadvantages, when compared to all non-demi races. Throw on evolution and you've got yourself a monster.
I imagine a demi taurion, orclach, ect. would still be better, though not as versatile due to the lower mana and such.

just as a random sidenote, why don't Trill have a racial language?

they really need to give more bonus's to being tall, too.
how much does diminish and englarge work for? i wonder...an igasho with enlarge probably 20 size right there. now if only there was a bonus to that.

Okay, no.
Tall people already get a stun bonus, slower hunger, and summon resistance.
Small people get writhing and tumble, and people are saying the super tumble is unbalanced and saying it should be removed. (It is unbalanced, to be fair.)
That's good enough.
Unknown2005-11-27 01:41:17
Except that... who cares about getting hungry a bit slower, stun bonus is small, summon resistance depends mostly on skills anyway. On the other hand, writhing and tumbling are essential.

the slower hungry is very much little slower hungry. i was faeling earlier in the game, and i've noticed very very little slower.
and the writhing penalty is huge.
Unknown2005-11-27 01:51:50
Any summoning resistance you can get is great when you're sprinting through an enemy demesne, believe me.
Shiri2005-11-27 01:57:12
Getting hungry slower is damn nice for non-Magnagorans who start passing out in four rounds of geo, believe me.
Unknown2005-11-27 02:00:11
Maybe slower, but others also pass out pretty soon. Carry food with you I suppose.
Besides, doesn't protection scroll make you immune to that?

Shiri2005-11-27 02:05:53
Protection scroll is only really of much use when you're (say) in a village against a demesne but the mage isn't coming to you. You know it takes eq to put up, right?
And I think it might still be bugged.
And stun is good against bonecrushers too.

Unknown2005-11-27 02:14:42
I know that, and that's what seems to be the main issue, traversing geomancer's demesne for a longer time. During a fight, you'll have to waste some food, sucks but oh well (I'll just mention that I dislike that ability as well as I do dreamweaver's sleeping stuff). Also, don't mages need to strip protection actively, which makes it difficult and time consuming in group combat?

Shiri-
I don't see how you can justify having a large size is on par with a low size when comparing advantages and disadvantages. It is no where balanced, having a large size means you can easily be shut down by entangling tactics, and making it takes forever and a day for you to tumble out of instantkills. Good fighters will often enlarge their opponent just for those very reasons, do you ever see anyone diminish their enemies? No. As for summon resistance, take a look at Wiccans and Druids with all their summon resistance, it is utterly unfair, but seeing as how you're a Furrikin Moondancer, I guess it would be fair to you.

Guardians seem to have the same resistances as Moondancers to summoning. Which is about 2/3 at size 6, but a size 6 warrior gets nothing seemingly (even with malkuth.)
But I'm going off the principle that tumble should be evened out, so it would be stun res AND hunger res AND summon res vs. fast writhing and that's it.
Terenas2005-11-27 02:25:20
I'm talking about Malkuth/Red and Roots. Not factoring in sizes, you have skill-based summon resistance. Whereas, the archetype that have the most people likely to have largest sizes do not.
Unknown2005-11-27 02:30:13
Those skills give an enormous resistance, I doubt big size gets anywhere close to that. Like I said, skills are the most important factor for summoning resistance.

Isn't there a totem that increases summon resistance as well? Rock or mountain or something like that.
Unknown2005-11-27 06:24:52
Dissolve (strips protection scroll) has much quicker eq regain that reading the scroll.
