Fury didn't break demesne, I don't think. unsure.gif

Of course, only time I used it was to kill Malicia on the test server.

They don't break the demesne, but it ends all active effects.
Sylphas2005-12-13 10:38:31
Ah, so 80 seconds to retime your demense, 10 power for another cudgel, and all your mana. Yeah, that's worth it. rolleyes.gif

EDIT: Yes, I know it has the potential to kill entire groups. But that takes a lot of setup, and you need a good group against a bad group to really pull it off. If you whiff the mass kill, you just screwed yourself.
Unknown2005-12-13 11:30:26
ending all effects is bad enough..
Thorgal2005-12-13 11:52:41
In practice, Pollute/Maelstrom/Fury is just an extremely weak version of Holocaust.
Kaileigh2005-12-13 11:56:19
Killing raiders: Priceless.

*cough* sorry had to.

Yeah but unlike Geos, Aquas can't resort to an (almost) unstoppable insta. So.. better than nothing. smile.gif

Champions can break their staffs then re-summon them immediately afterward. That'd suck if all Mages can do that though...

QUOTE(Sylphas @ Dec 12 2005, 07:23 PM)
No, they can't.  They have to wait for another 10 power and for max mana again.  Unless you're fighting them on their own plane.  And even then, Maelstrom/Fury/Pollute are rarely used.

I am going to guess that the second post is in response to the first.

Champions can break and resummon as soon as they have 1 power back. I did it alot, was the only way I could spam out Fury fast enough to make it any sort of use at all. A normal person using Fury might as well not bother, the trans skills of Druidry, Geomancy, Aquamancy, just suck for decent level combat. They were great back in October 2004, when the highest level person was level 30. Now they are not worth the 400 extra lessons to get.
Sylphas2005-12-13 12:14:31
Champions can summon for FREE? blink.gif Then why can't Patchou be summoned for one power, like the rest of the fae?
Gregori2005-12-13 12:18:31
Druids and Mages get the one artifact, their cudgel or staff. Wiccans/Guardians get two. The Orb of Ellindel for Moondancers, and Patchou. Not sure what the others have.

Give everyone else a pet as well, and then you can complain that Champions can summon their cudgel for free.
Unknown2005-12-13 12:27:16
But do those Orbs do anything? I thought they're just for summoning the champion pet.
Sylphas2005-12-13 12:27:59
Doesn't the Orb only summon the pet, though?
Gregori2005-12-13 12:45:46
The Orb is what enables them to Rescue, just like the Cudgels, Staves, and Helms do.

Told you so, I've seen more than one champion done it. tongue.gif

Orb: Rescue and pet.
Staff: Rescue and extra damage.
Helm: Rescue and extra damage.

Yes, you get so ripped off. rolleyes.gif
Kaervas2005-12-13 20:28:35
Pollute/fury/maelstrom is such a crap trans skill, I know certain admin seem to think that it's a very powerful skill but in reality it sucks ass. I think I've used pollute once and it didn't even do 2k to the person I was attacking, not worth going to 0 mana, losing staff and 10 power. I'd rather just boulderblast while my effects are up for the same effect.
Sylphas2005-12-13 20:39:17
I'd like to see it replaced with the ability to fire all your demesne effects at once, for 10 power, without resetting the normal timers.

Awfully simplified.

Orb: Rescue, increased speed and range of passive effects, often quite nasty ones.

Helm: Rescue, substantial head armor, 25% damage increase, 25% wounding increase, 25% venom delivery increase, rumor has it that there's also an accuracy boost.

Staff: Rescue, 75% damage increase (nice for mages, but crap * 1.75 is just a lesser degree of crap--woo, my cudgel does as much as my nature curse!), double melding speed. I'd like it a lot more if cudgel bleeding got the 75% boost, too.

Yours is only 15%? Well then. Mages got ripped off, too.

From my tests its ike 20% more damage and 33% more wounds.
And i'm not sure about accuracy but i think it increase it a bit.

Anyone who did tests too?
