I just realized that, since the Brits don't have jelly, they probably don't have jelly donuts. Jam just doesn't have the right consistency to stay inside the shell. Now, if that isn't a sign of inferiority, we're going to have trouble seeing eye-to-eye.

We have jam donuts.

Edit: Suck on this, a nice definition of grill:

To broil on a rack directly over hot coals or other heat source.

So nyeh tongue.gif

Heh. I don't actually know anyone that eats black pudding...ever.

Or that other crap that's supposedly archetypal English food.

Nor do I eat red meat...but that's just 'cause I don't like the taste, others do. unsure.gif

I've eaten haggis, although thats not English food
mmmmmm.......haggis

That first picture is freaking huge.

And you know, you can grill inside one of those too...

Shiri! Don'te ever use a grill inside! Or in any enclosed space. You could get carbon monoxide poisoning.

blink.gif ...in an oven...it doesn't require an open flame. Read Laysus' thing. "Or other heat source."
Unknown2005-12-09 05:16:42
Oh, ok. I thought you meant you thought it was ok to take a grill inside and use it. Didn't realize you were talking about grilling in the oven.

Heh, no, haven't tried that one yet...
Unknown2005-12-09 05:20:43
Well don't. *G* It's bad news.
Sylphas2005-12-09 06:31:02
Although if you wanted have a mass suicide party, a barbeque is a much better way to do it then spiked Kool-Aid.

In honor (no "u"!) of the debate over the element Al on the alchemy thread, I hereby necro this!

Like Narsrim said, we're just making your language make more sense. Don't worry, we have enough cultural dominance that we'll just flood your schools with American textbooks and your networks with American programs. British spelling will just cease to exist.

Have a lovely day. kiss.gif

rather random comment, however i had "hail britainia" stuck in my head all yesterday. i woke up this morning and was singing "hail, naranja"(naranja is the spanish word for orange(the fruit)) and i didn't realise it until my dad told me...
and that i'm an american. why would an american have a brittish national song stuck in their head? you're all trying to subliminal message us and convert us, aren't you! either that or the naranjas are trying to.
it's just semi-brittish related so i felt compelled to post it when i saw the topic...sorry for being random and ranting.

Actually, it's 'Rule Britannia'. I think you're just a bit out of it.
Aiakon2006-03-11 15:29:47
Rule Britannia, Britannia rule the waves. Britains never never neeeeeverrrr will be slaves.

Etc.

Anyone who sings it as 'Britannia rules the waves' is doubly wrong.
1) We don't.
2) That's not how the song goes.

Yesterday when I was in a hotel in Atlanta, I was watching TV (I don't have cable here at home) and there was this documentary on the Celts or something. Boudica was scary. unsure.gif

EDIT: Eep.

2006/03/12 03:17:52 - Boudica stepped out of the Portal of Fate as a commune member.
