An amazonian Avatar of Avechna raises her bow at Umbrawn and fires a quick
volley of arrows, striking his flesh.
Umbrawn has been slain by an amazonian Avatar of Avechna.
A ghostly form rises from Umbrawn's body followed by a bright flash.
A newbreathing body appears around the form, restoring him from certain death.
An amazonian Avatar of Avechna bellows out, "Vengeance has been done for
Stangmar!" and then vanishes in a flash of light.

Are you supposed to vitae from an avenger kill? Doesn't that sorta defeat the point?

You still lose some experience, get peaced, and have to pay the 20 overall power. Seems fair enough to me.
Unknown2005-12-07 01:39:40
If someone dies and vitaes, he still can get vengeance. Sounds fair. Sort of. Lichdom and Transmigration shouldn't count, which leaves necromancers and ecologists with praying... and it's not cool.
Richter2005-12-07 02:23:38
I dunno, they still get peaced and lose ten power when they come back. Sounds decent, I can see where you're coming from though, since the exp loss is lessened.
Narsrim2005-12-07 02:40:03
Ok, let's put this into perspective:

You people are trying to tell me that 10p equates to potential days of bashing? Vitae deaths cost me less than 1%.
Unknown2005-12-07 03:10:23
I believe avenger makes you pray no matter if you're in home territory, if you have lich or transmigration up. Can any of you necros confirm that for me?

There's no reason vitae should kick in, despite the rest.
Kaileigh2005-12-07 03:17:55
ah well Vitae is available to everyone..
Unknown2005-12-07 03:22:59
Not everyone can use it like that though.
Murphy2005-12-07 03:55:54
as a much avenegered person, It goes right through lichdom, vitae and all that jazz....well its SUPPOSED to but when the changed the vitae message then maybe they forgot to fix it up.

I would LIKE to think the sacraments sacrifice ability wouldn't be able to revive either....it should be a forced praying every time.
Xavius2005-12-07 04:35:50
Avenger deaths have a higher xp cost than a normal death anyways. It kills and takes away the xp gained from the kill, maybe a little more on top of that.

No corpse, so no resurrection.. all you could do was to sacrafice.. which in overall would still cost the avengered person + the person doing the sarcrafice.
Soll2005-12-07 20:44:28
But the sacrificing person can use Vitae, so both would avoid praying. smile.gif
Ixion2005-12-07 21:09:08
Sounds like an oversight, vitae should be identical to the other rezz skills- i.e. should make you pray on vengeance.

I agree, getting killed by the Avenger should be a forced praying. Either that, or all ressurection methods should work, just for fairness' sake.
Even though I think that Karma curses are better than the avenger and should be made stronger. Maybe make it so gathering Karma is slower when you've been cursed?
Unknown2005-12-09 14:10:48
I don't think they need to be stronger.

Incurable for the first x days, sure.
