Crow's feast

Really, I need to understand this, since when did Crow become this pagan god that cares for feasts and festivals?! The whole point was that he requires, demands life of servitude and yet Brennan scolded Narses and was in favour of a festival. I may be slightly off but that's not what Narses understood from the teachings, indeed I feel that the recent event is way off and has nothing to do with the way Crow was perceived thus far. Narses feels that Brennan lost his marbles and that Crow cannot possibly care not for the fact that people are putting their lives on the line for him and yet is annoyed because no parties are held in his name.... a ritual I could understand... but this?

Read the announce?
Daganev2005-12-08 20:00:52
Crow Hungers... how could he not like feasts? tongue.gif

Brennan was twisted by the taint. I think it only makes sense that he's mad like the rest of those Gloomies. tongue.gif

You are just envious of our creative views on everything. tongue.gif

Ok, for an honest answer...

While it may be best to emulate crow through self sacrifice, worshiping is another matter.

Brennan is all about the ritual.. crow cloak, council.. and Crow clearly has a thing for foods... carrion, trickster. I think the best way to to ritualize a service of Crow would be a neverending feast of food that never fills you up. So that would be represented by a feast of some sort.

There is a difference between emulation and worship, and clearly glomdoring wishes to have worship, and not just emulation. (as signified by Viravain and Her wishes)

whomever came up with doing the feast, I think thats something that was much needed.
Narses2005-12-08 20:41:22
no... it simply never even occured to me that Brennan would lose his marbles in such a manner.
Ashteru2005-12-08 20:43:27
It was funny seeing Narses arguing with Brennan. tongue.gif
Narses2005-12-08 22:05:10
hey I think Narses handled himself pretty darn well tongue.gif
Verithrax2005-12-08 22:08:46
I was wondering if that was a player-started event. It kind of sounded like Ashteru's idea.
Ashteru2005-12-08 22:12:06
Well, Ash talks to Brennan pretty often, at least measured at how often others speak with him. And sure, I coded a few skilltweaks, hacked the server and saved them there. tongue.gif

Nah, everything started with Brennan staring at Ash while he meditated at the Ravenwood.

Doesn't one of Crow's aspects have to do with hunger or thirst or something? If so, it makes sense there's a Crow holiday of gluttony ... er, I man feasting...

Hmm it's be nice to have some regular sermons and rituals to the demon lords as well, at their monuments. The elemental lords however don't show alot of character...

Shamarah did a really good Aquamancer one (normally I utterly despise rituals, but this one I thought was cool) a while ago. Posted a thread on it, lemme see if I can link it.

Here it is.
