so I could just ask Estarra or someone?
Suhnaye2005-12-14 11:05:46
More than likely they'd be able to give you your alts names, but I doubt they'd be able to give you they're passwords... Dunno.
As for me, I've had a few alts in each place over the time I've been here... I enjoyed being a newbie, but warriors are bloody horrible on newbies... And damned expensive for equipment... Especially compared to the moondancers (Spoiled brats). I liked the roleplay in Glomdoring, and I tried a Ur'Guard and Nihilist... Didn't get too far with either of them... I prefer Suhnaye, I think I've stayed with him longer than I've ever stayed with any MUD character of mine before...

Of course they can give you the passwords. How do you think you get your password back if you've forgotten it?
But they ask for personal details and such to confirm who you are.
Password retrevial for those alts I make whilst really drunk.
I have four alts in Lusternia. Three in Achaea, and one each in Imperian and Aetolia. Most are novices, but that's what makes them -fun-. As Richter said, you don't need to be trans most of your skills to contribute to the game. You can work on Culture, RP, helping novices... it's awesome.

Yep, it was fun having a paladin alt. Until I figured out how much gold I'd need to get armor, and bashing was so slowww. Then I got bored with it
235964
Who was your Paladin alt? And yea warriors haev hard time to get all needed gold, thats why i make alts for other classes only. I love hom merian Aquamancer can get all needed herbs/potions/robes in less then 25 hours. When i graduated from novicehood i was level 60. But from level 60 i stopped bashing
Richter2005-12-14 17:06:16
All my passwords are the same, but since no one knows who my alts are (except Karrah and Bau, I think they know one each), then we're good. I really hate different passwords, thus I use the same one for everything. *twiddle*
I think someone asked how to find out alts/passwords. From what I understand, email support. Alternatively, to find out passwords, I think you can message Estarra, and you'll get the password sent to the email you registered under.

I hate having alts, moreso in Lusternia because I enjoy the old and experienced feel Soll has to him. However, they do provide a different PoV and experience, as well as the ability to escape and start anew. The idea gets more appealing.

Dotn do anything silly. I'm going to make a family so Soll have to be active!
Arix2005-12-14 20:01:30
I'd just need the names, not the passwords. I'm good at remembering those

Yea, that's about all I do now adays. One of my characters is a scholar and maybe a influencer. And the other is mainly about RP, helping novices, and making jewelry. I don't mind a bit of bashing, its just a little disheartening to die and lose a bunch of levels. I'll get so mad and stop wanting to bash anymore.
As for warriors, I also have one that I really like, but can't seem to bring myself play. I wish I made her older so I could go with my second concept: The grizzled, old warrior who just sits around talking about the 'good ole' days', drinking whiskey and complaining about youngins.
Oh, and I hope this isn't too bad. The reasons I have a bunch of alts was to try out the different guilds and cites/communes and skills. The second reason is so I could try out the quests without getting in trouble.

that's pretty much what I do, except I'm a mage, not a warrior

Yeah, you probably would have run into trouble around there. It gets to the point where everything worth bashing is far to hard for the wee merian.

Be afraid, be very afraid, Nymerya has a possible one character per organization.
Terenas2005-12-15 09:37:07
That makes me sad, I don't have a single alt, heck I barely get enough time to spend on one character, let alone multiple.

I can't stand alts, I miss my level/equipment/skills/people actually knowing who the hell I am. If everyone else can get over that, more power to 'em.
Soll2005-12-15 09:48:16
Pretty much how I feel. Good to stay constant... On one character, atleast.
Iridiel2005-12-15 18:11:02
I tend to have alts each time I get into any administrative position. They're sooo relaxing, no obligations, just the silly guild reqs...
