I like it. Makes artifacts much more artifact-y, since they're not all cookie-cutter knock-offs of each other.

Now I just have to decide whether to rune existing jewelry or have my jeweler make up all new pieces for the runes.

... oh. I didn't even think of that. Tried ARTIFACTS with plural because it works for all the others.

Anyway, it looks cool. You could make cameos into runes, or gems of cloaking. I like cubixes and prisms as what they are, though.

Also when you probe the item that you get all these runes on can you make their runes show up on it?

Well, cameos are a little different, since they just mark us as a changeling. I think we might leave those alone.

And I can't remember correctly, but were You saying that people could trade in old ones for 100%? I know someone that owns pretty much every artifact in the game (if not all of them), and I can see the evil grin on his face when he gets one ring with all the upgrades on it.

I really like the runes. In fact, I think it would be neat if there were perhaps some protective runes that could be added. Warriors can rune up weapons to make them more offensive, I was thinking something like artie runes that have defensive qualities. For example, a rune that gives a 10-15% resistance to wounds, increases stats on robes, etc... perhaps these types could be sown into robes and such?

However, I really like the runes so far. It makes cartels more appealing because I definately want a custom crown design now for the rune I have

As Hajamin enlightened me, ARTIFACT #### VALUE shows the rune, but yes Ialie I have that same concern, -please- make runes shown on either WP or simple PROBE.

I love the runes idea. I was very tempted to not transfer them being as I would have arties that no one could buy now, yet 10 charges and permed jewelry was just too sexy to pass up.

I tried attaching a rune to my crown (non-magicrown) and it didn't work

Sure Narsrim, just as soon as we can get 10-15% resistance to hangedman and web.

If you can get a rune that increases wounding, why is not fair that I could get something to decrease wounding? We are talking about artifacts afterall.

Where is our artifact shields, robes, etc? They will come around eventually, I have no doubt. I'm just trying to catalyse the reaction

The concept of turning custom items into artifacts, the whole modularity of artifacts was a great idea.
