I mean this with all the niceness I have in my heart, but you cant blame anyone else but yourself when things dont get done in the guild. You were the GA you have control over who has what position. If the people whom you placed in those positions are being apathetic you have the ability to remove them and replace them with people who are more motivated. You had awesome ideas for the guild, but you kinda sorta half-assed it.
But you were a cool cat and its sad to see you go.

You know your right but the fact that I had no one and had to train people that left is hardly my fault. Don't say I half assed it because I didn't I went full haul with everyone wailing and complaining as I did it. People had to understand terms which they eventually did things went smoothly for a time but it all went downhill once Karrah left. I didn't have 'time' to do everything and I needed people to actually take responsibility for the positions I gave them. Ayita and I tried so hard to make people active. The system was not that complicated it was just new. It is no harder than the Paladin system if you call that complicated. It is just structured.
I still have no idea still about why Elgar left and Adee and Yurika I am so confused. You honestly have no place to tell me I half-assed it that totally hurts my feelings.

Life sucks and then you conglutinate.
The reason I was inactive for so long is because, surprise, I have real-life responsibilities (otherwise known as College). I try to get on when I can but I'm sorry if I can't devote all my time to your Eclessiarchy, or however you spell it. You approached me about it once, and never said anything about it again. So please spare me your guilt trip.

Fine and I apologise. I just do not want what I made to be destroyed. And I was being irrational in my post because I was that upset. But the point I want to make is the administration in that guild is 'not' general. Whatever Ayita wants to say I made it so you actually have to work first before becoming in such a high position.
And now I am going completely OOC to fight for my baby. I'm sorry. I have literally sweated tears to get this system in holding a job and school at the same time and its why it was so close to my heart and it was devastating when I felt abused and used.

Sure hope you didn't mean you trained me. Because I recieved no training from the Celestines. And the only answer I ever got about the new system was 'it's not implemented yet'
I was motivated, just some people managed to ruin my entire OOC motivation to play a Celestine. (and it has nothing to do with Adee)

Qale,
as Morik discovered in-game - people have to WANT to, not be made to. You can't make people wnat to be active: all you get there are burnt out husks of people who were forced into doing something they didn't want to.
I wish Celest as a whole would figure that out.

Then talk to the dioceses because it was out of my hands from that point. The only reason we didn't start the system was because each time I'd replace a diocese to handle responsibility they would go inactive. I implemented the apprenticeship months ago and I asked them to put one devotion task each and no one could even do this after I created everything for them to create within.
And I don't know why you are so angry I still like you though. If you didn't receive training then I am starting to wonder if the dioceses did anything at all since you were in a sietch.

Just wanting to point out the bolded point is not true. You appointed the Dioceses, It was your duty to make sure they where up for their task. From the Dioceses I talked to, THEY didn't know what to do either. Failure to communicate? to much in scrolls? Tried to do too much at once? Not enough guidance for the Dioceses and High priests who where entirely new to leadership?
You really shouldn't pass the blaim to the Dioceses that easily.

I think the peope that were appointed to the positions that became active, should've been replaced with quickness. As active as Adee and I were, and still are now, would've been more fitting for the sietches we were assigned. I RARELY saw Auroran at any time, but yet still received the highest position in the Cleriarchial branch, though I didn't mind being...Solvanis's undersecretary at the time..which seems to me, went to Auroran. I have nothing against Auroran or anything.
I just think that, there should've been consequences in place of work not being done even for inactivity, failure to report on things. I might be way off in my thought of things, but that's just my 2 cents.
Qal, I know you said it was too late for pleasantries, but truthfully, and yet never spoken to you from my own mouth, that you did do your best. You're a wonderful Administrator. Just to say it anyway, I'm quite sorry that I let you down. Of the several novices I helped train, a few are still with the guild, and is growing fast, Fedrin and Batsu to be exact.
I left for reasons I thought wasn't going to change. Nothing to do with the guild anyway. I did feel like, I was growing to become a stranger in my own city I came to since leaving the portal. Other things I thought deep and hard about lead to my leaving. I doubt you know that I've always followed my own drum regardless of who has anything to say about it. But, still you are loved.

I'm sorry to see you go. We had an interesting conversation OOCly regarding the development of the Nihilists and Celestines, and about how to best utilize the Demon Lords and Supernals in an IC religion/cult. I had a lot of fun talking with you about it, and it gave me some ideas for different things.
It's unfortunate that things didn't work out in your guild. Guild leadership really is a huge joint effort from not only the 3 elected leaders, but also everyone else as well. If there's one thing I've learned as GM, that's it. Moving the guild in a certain direction is not as simple as "GA Dictatorship" or whatever some people in this thread seem to be implying, so I wish you folks would lay off Qalet. I've been extremely frustrated at times with certain things, and Ashar has really saved the day for me (and Torak is shaping up to be an awesome Champion too).
The comments regarding Celest purging the pacifists are truly ignorant, as well. Becoming a strong organization is most definately not about ostracizing those with different perspective or viewpoints than your own. If you truly believe that will make you stronger in the end and you can't see the value in a diverse populace, then you are a fool and deserve whatever comes to you because of it. The fact that you think driving people away from Celest through strict and intolerant attitudes and behaviors is somehow appropriate is, in itself, utter stupidity. So enjoy your crusading, empty kingdom. You may earn a few villages in the short run, but in the long term you will have devastated any unique culture that may have tried to thrive there, leaving you with a tired, oft-cliched, and boring city.
Good luck to you in whatever you decide to do, Qalet.
