Alright...when I fight people around my might, apart from Selwin, I seem to be able to do alright, but against higher might warriors I die or can't seem to gain anny ground. And I know I didn't parry for a while, I just forgot.

Well, you were losing until you remembered to parry/sparkle. Also that APPLY HEALTH can hurt you against a heavy wounder.
Otherwise, I think I see your problem: You're going damage against a knight. That's just downright impossible without runes and even then it's slow going. Try using a heavy wounding weapon or a nice and fast Katana. Try to do enough so that they can't just recover as fast as you wound.

Good idea, time to break out that katana I have. And as for the apply health, I'm using Thorgal's system, so I have no clue whether it automatically applies health to stuff. Anyone??
And I seem to have the most trouble against bonecrushers, but the only one I've fought so far is Gero, so it could just be him.

applying health is something you should do cwin...unless you want to get beheaded or amputated or any high woundage afflics

As you gain levels, you will get more freedom to apply health over sipping so you don't die. Sparkles should take care of most wounding knight damage, giving you more freedom to cure wounds- against damage knights, you will need to sip most of the time, but their wounding sucks so it's a trade off.
