For the last few years I've alternated between different styles, and been satisfied with the results of them, but let's hear what you all think! Vote Vote.

Trimmed but not completely shaved - the damned thing itches too much after you shave it completely and nothing is worse than an itchy chest.

Edit: Besides, you always have that niggling worry in the back of your head about cutting off your own nipple, no matter how far fetched the chances of that happening truly are.

Wax is your friend.

Ouch. I have nightmares about stuff like that. Except they do it with cheese graters. These are nasty nightmares. Thus I am petrified of cheese graters. And therefore cheese.

Shaven tends to make guys look too young.
An excess of hair makes them look like bears, so no good either.
Don't know, I guess right exactly how my bf chest is, that's the perfect point.
My opinion will change when I change bf, though. biggrin.gif

...Wow, who'd have thunk up this topic... Ixion.

Do you want a girl's perspective on this?

I prefer natural. I love my guy the way he is, and I don't expect him to change for me. He is perfect in every way. And what's nice, he thinks the same of me.

Shaven, itchy chests are not nice to snuggle against. I can handle the hair if it means that my guy is comfortable and not taking pains to yank out his hair with wax, or to possibly cut himself with a razor, or get razor rash and itchies.
Iridiel2005-12-19 17:48:09
Cairam got it right smile.gif

Definately agree with Cairam..natural's good.

On a seperate note though....hairy's good long as it stays on the chest. It starts creepin over the shoulders onto the back there is a problem *grin*
Asarnil2005-12-19 18:00:17
Cairam, its just personal grooming - chest hair can get too thick to the point where it resembles a rug and that isn't good - keeping it trimmed to a decent length is 10x better than just letting it grow and having you look like Zhangief from Street Fighter.
Penelope2005-12-19 19:42:05
I like guys with hairy chests...though they're nice when they're trimmed like Asarnil points out.

ok so your bf thinks the same of you likes you natural so you don't shave either? Kinda like hippies that livei n forests and smoke to much?? I am just kidding so you know you left it wide open to comment
Unknown2005-12-20 20:20:56
I'm natural, but I'm also not naturally -hairy-. Some on the chest, some on the belly, but not Zhangief like someone mentioned, rofl.

Ick, I can't stand hairy chests. That little trail of hair is icky, too. I think the only hair on your body should be the hair on your head, eyebrows and your moustache if you are a guy. I'll just leave it at that.
Vix2005-12-20 20:44:51
What about those people with the gene mutation that makes them grow hair all over?

Seconded. I use hair-removal creams. >.o For fear of cutting myself. But that kind of gets into personal things and addictions and things I'd rather not relive.

Now, I shave my face, but I don't need a mirror or none of that nonesense, I go against the grain for a nice clean close shave, and I know the contour of my face really well. But, chest, back, abs, arms, legs.. Creams!

And hairless. As long as there's, like, you know, some form of muscle beneath it - even if it's that lean, lanky appeal.

I find body hair disgusting. The less the BETTER. x.x No trail, nuttin' down there, either. >.o But the efforts for shaving, especially the areas in question, oft times outweigh the benefits. Although if we're talking dwarf beard, trimming is wise. *nod me*

At least that's this ex-sluts opinion. I find it's widely shared in my circles of experience, but some don't care. I guess it depends? How quickly body hair grows back, how quickly you get stubble, how close you prefer to shave, electric or old fashion. It all goes into the 'how quickly one gets irritating stubble' factor, and I doubt ANYONE wants to lay their head on a stubbly chest.

But that's just me.

My advice is to do exactly what I intend to do, once I have the money.

Laser hair removal. Period. I'd love to say "quick and easy", but it's seven appointments, give or take, and "easy" on the wallet it isn't.

Ahh, bingo. That's the solution I'm gonna take soon. drool.gif So much easier!
Unknown2005-12-20 23:23:11
I'll start worrying about my hair as soon as I start worrying about my weight. If you can take the rest of me, the hair is a piece of cake, no matter how much you dislike it.

It just gets annoying if there's too much of it. On the face too, just incredibly irritating. dry.gif
