I've never understood why people ask for credit loans. Rather than incurring debts and ill-will, why not just wait the extra week or two until you can purchase them yourself?
I can't think of any reason why credits would be urgently needed, except to pay off previous debts.

For the same reason someone uses a credit card; they can get now what may take them many weeks or months to save for. If I have some spare credits I don't mind loaning them to people I know and trust. I've done it before, I'll do it again I suspect.

I've never held on to credits long enough to loan them out

don't loan any credits to Luthe either, he doesn't pay you back, but just askes for more, he is inactive now so... meh. He payed me back 5 after being pressured by an admin but still... Pissed me off

Admins should not get involved. If you loan them out and they do not pay you back, then you should not of loaned them out. The loaner is at fault if they do not get paid back. Yet I would understand the frustration

The loaner is hardly at fault for being good-natured and trusting. If those things are a fault then kill us all now and be done with this whole life thing .

At fault? No. A victim is never actually at fault.
He can be fool, though, if he doesn't wise up from a bit of experience. And being a fool is definitely a fault.
You make it sound like it's impossible to be "good-natured and trusting" without trusting all people equally, though.
It's one thing to like and trust people. Quite another to tattoo the word "sucker" on your forehead.
This world we call "civilization" is really just a different sort of jungle. Instead of developing stripes to blend with the shadows of the forest, the tigers learn to blend in with the teeming masses of decent, honest, hard-working people around them.
A predator in any world learns the art of the surprise attack, or he quickly dies of starvation. Lions, angler fish, con men, parasites, sadists -- even serial killers -- all find ways to make themselves invisible, so only a fool bares his metaphorical throat to a stranger.
We do all have to trust someone at some point, though, or you're right that there's no point to any of it. And you figure out who to trust the same way you pierce any illusion: truth lies in the details.
Any time a person wants you to focus on the grand, sweeping gestures they make, start to question their motives immediately, because odds are they're trying to distract you from their day-to-day behaviour.
Grand gestures are easy. One quick bit of razzle-dazzle and they're over. Day to day details are hard. No one can keep his guard up 24/7, and even the best con-man will betray his true self under the scrutiny of long-term association, so long as you pay attention to the little things, and don't try to explain away his inconsistencies for him.

I did not mean to come across that way. I am no fool but I will give people the benefit of the doubt until I have a reason not to. That's all I meant.
