Nightwish does an AMAZING job of mixing in a full piece orchestra as well and it all just works together wonderfully.

I've got most of their stuff, but recently started liking stuff like Within Temptation more because they have a somewhat fuller sound.

I love pop (britney spears... destiny's child) basically things I can dance to. I love some country music. Hip Hop is okay... I just have to be in the mood for it.

The best way to sum up my musical taste would be: Anything thats good. No screwing around with the whole "genre" deal.
I come from ska/punk kiddie roots, so I listen to a great deal of that. (big d, casualties, madness, save ferris, fugazi... I doubt anyone wants the full list) Lately, I've been listen to a bit more (well, any) hiphop (sage francis, aesop rock, deltron 3030, das efx). I can enjoy any sorts of jazz, although i'm a bit underrepresented in the less... traditional? styles (meaning new milesish stuff).
Country (Bela flek, Stray Cats)
Metal, although I don't do subgenres (In Flames, Children of Bodom)
Hardcore (<3bloodbrothers<3)
General/generic Rock (Bloodhound Gang, random songs like WAR or Final Count Down
Softer stuff (postal service, Ben folds)
and POP (my shameful pleasure is madonna).
Additionally, on my playlist, you will find showtunes, Regae, horribly too little electronica (prodigy, chemical brothers, requiem for a dream soundtrack), alternative rock/grunge (<3 pixies).
I'll check out that trance stuff.

I like one genre of music and one genre only
Green day.
Yes it's a genre of its own because its that good.
