I got bored at work and created a logic puzzle. I dont know if it able to be solved or not so I need someone to do it. (If this is the wrong section for it can someone please move the topic)

Vernal Wars part Deux

With all the weaving and reweaving finished, the Elder Gods grew bored and restless. Seeing the other Elders in a tizzy, Estarra decided to hold a contest between five of the Elder Gods (One of which was Roark) for the entertainment of all. Estarra would create versions of five soulless gods and each of the five Elder would chose a mortal champion(Two of which were Joli and Ichiro) to take the form of a Vernal God( Shanth being one of the chosen) of the mortals chosing. After the mortal had chosen each would do battle with a puppet Soulless in a different village. Determine which Elder God chose which mortal, which Vernal God each mortal chose and whom they fought, and the location which they did battle.



1. The five champions were, in no particular order, Fain's champion Gwynevere, the champion who chose Vestera, the champion who fought Mudd, the champion who fought in Angkrag, and Auseklis' champion.

2. Isune chose a male champion, but he did not fight in Paavik. Viravain's champion did not fight Oldori whom battled in Estelbar nor did Her champion fight Illith.

3. Maelee chose Kiakoda, but another female fought Crazen.

4. Zenos fought the champion who chose Juliana. Nyla fought in Delport.

5. The battle between Urlach and Crazen took place in Rockholm.

Urlach certainly isn't female...

*note the sex of the vernal God may or may not be the same as the sex of the mortal.

Why did the Elder Gods choose those particular people? No offense, but I can't see Fain choosing Gwynevere. She doesn't seem like his type...

Also, I don't think there's enough information... You didn't tell us the names of all of the mortals.

EDIT: Missing two mortal names, one vernal name, and one soulless name.

EDIT2: And what's Maelee's gender?

Everything should be there now... maelee is female

Hm, doesn't look like there's enough information for a solution... either that or I'm really bad at these.

Just more information I'd say. Can't tell since I don't know the solution anyways.

6. Roark'c champion fought in neither Estelbar nor against Zenos

I'm still stumped. Anyone else tried it yet?

Can't do it. Think there needs to be more 'who fought what soulless' info. Thats my least-X-ed and least-checked group. Its close to having enough, though.

I think you need more absolutes, as in, things you know happened.

Yea, an absolute about Ichiro or Joli might do it. The others all have something already. With one aboslute for each one, it should be possible.

I do these puzzles a lot, it helps if you draw a grid and cross-reference the information so you can see if you can work it out based on that.

Well surely if you just give yourself those facts and try to do the puzzle while only making logical assumptions you'll be able to tell if it works or not, no?

Thats the problem... I was able to do it, but I think thats because I alreay know the answers so its all meh.
