I wanted to comment on Roark's splintering, but I didn't want to invoke Godwin's Law.

Doesn't commenting on Godwin's Law kind of invoke Godwin's Law?

must be something about God winning, thus ending all discussion, or something tongue.gif

Godwin's Law is the observation that as a thread length increases, the probability of a mention of the Nazis or Hitler approaches one.

It is often misunderstood to mean that this mention ends the thread, which it doesn't. Worse yet, that you can end threads by invoking it on purpose, which you can't.

Godwin speaks about his law.

Krisnsur, they are a race of statuesque warriors that posses three-eyes and four arms.
Their stone bodies came to motion thanks to the grace of a splintered shard of a Divine God that having drifted away from the rest took pity of the graceful statues and decided to reside within each one bringing them to life.

Because they have four hands they can wield four weapons and specialize in two knight specs: (Blade master/Bone crusher: 4 weapons, Pureblade/Blade master: 3 weapons). Each arm has its own balance.

You do realise how horrendously overpowered this is, don't you?

And yes, Godwin's law is about nazis and Hitler. In this case I was making a joke about Roark's ideas of the Ubermensche.

(Cuber realises that nazism has twisted Nietzsche's ideas so horribly that you can't really compare these two. It was only a joke at my side. Also, if you do not know who Nietzsche is, shut down your computer and go read a book. Now.)

Reading just any old book won't help you. I suggest you keep your computer on and pay a visit to Wikipedia.

Each time you read a Wikipedia article, the release date of Gaudiguch and Hallifax gets delayed by two weeks.

Advantages:
Level 1 mana regeneration
Level 1 health regeneration
Level 2 resistance to cutting
Level 1 resistance to blunt
Level 1 resistance to psychic damage
Thirdeye
Mindsense
Dance of the Thousand Petal Lotus (BOND command)
Disadvantages:
Weakness to poison damage 2
Recover equilibrium slower 1
Slow wakers
Can only wear leather armor
Only females
Because they have four hands they can wield four weapons and specialize in two knight specs: (Blade master/Bone crusher: 4 weapons, Pureblade/Blade master: 3 weapons). Each arm has its own balance.

Using the BOND command, two Krisnurs can fuse into one, their health and regeneration stacks, strength increases one point, and they have a total of eight arms. Every now and then the BONDED Krisnurs will swoop knocking down her personal enemies or lash randomly at 8 times at different foes.

Because the Krisnurs are bonded into one, their susceptibility to “impurities” (poison) increases Level 3. Their mana drains progressively.

Krisnurs remain BONDED as long as they have mana, using the UNBOND command they can separate but because disrupting the harmony of the BONDING is taxing, they become stunned for 2 seconds and damage is divided equally among them when separated (4000 hp-2000 damage, they separate each Krisnaur with 1000 health). They can BOND at anytime.

If only it were that easy! Just to be sure, though, I'm going to go to the page on Heisenberg tomorrow and just start following links for a few hours.

So you concede that my race beats your ninja pirates to a pulp? Of course they are overpowered, they are supposed to be dancing thousand-armed goddesses!

In reality I just didn't want to stay away from the "create your own race" game and posted this idea that occurred to me after seeing a video of the Thousand-armed Guayin:

As I think, only race which we really need is some kind of plant-people (primary for communes).

For some reason this sounds strangely like Horkval:

QUOTE(Horkval)
Has level 3 resistance to physical cutting damage.
Has level 3 resistance to physical blunt damage.
Recovers balance more slowly, level 1.
Cannot wear armour.
Weak vs poison, level 2
Regenerates health, level 1.

Not trying to insult your idea, just saying.

Plus, we'd never have the Krisinsur for the same reason we won't ever have centaur...

On an unrelated note, Ialie wasn't too far off on what one of the newest races would be..

I wonder, if mention of gaudiguch and hallifax have the same effect on a thread as a nazi reference...
