Please learn the english language - "about the only time" != "the only time"

So you got stopped by an eye sigil once in Rockholm? Poor Shiro, wanna compare that to the deaths non-Lich users suffer -every- time they raid? Yeah, I thought not.

dry.gif I'm glad you want to whine about how people with Necromancy get one great skill, which has the same amount of flaws as trueheal in sacraments. But hey, atleast you proved that some people can't bring up good points in a debate. smile.gif
Shryke2005-12-28 22:51:23
that was a nice post xavius owned.gif
Murphy2005-12-28 22:52:30
xavius, focus spirit doesn't cure inquistiion or any of the follow ups last i heard, it only stops your aura from glowing but they can still pin it on you.

Also, narsrim repeatdley tells me vitae doesn't cost him hardly anything nowadays. Compare that to lich where if you botch your escapse, you can pray. Lets not forget you have an EQ loss on reforming, and you can only move so many rooms in the time it takes to reform. someone who knows the area well can chase you down in the time it takes to reform, and find a way out.
Torak2005-12-28 22:56:57
You really have no clue what you are talking about Xavius, I truly mean this. Inquistion isn't stopped with focus spirit, infact, inquistion isn't cured by anything. Dazzle doesn't let you do anything BUT writhe, its amazing in solo and group combat if you know how to afflict. Putrefaction drains 300 health, + more if you have over 3k, indefinetly? Sure if you feel like wasting berries and sips. Go ask anyone about trueheale, I really don't need to say more, judgement bad? I think not. Judgement is a damn good skill, especially in group combat. Omen is cured with focus spirit and barely lasts any time, ghost is far from the amazing creation you try to make it out to be, since you don't have it I don't really need to comment more..you would know its downsides. Is lichdom amazing as you all make it out to be? No, you just need to use some common sense to block it. I won't go into details but I have discussed it with Mags several times. I am not saying Lich or Ghost suck, but they don't make up for a lacking skillset, especially as I said before common sense > Lich.

Thank you, I couldn't come up with anything for Xavius biggrin.gif

1st, I wasn't whinning. I think its perfectly fine that Necromancers get Lich.

2nd, I wasn't debating the superiority of Necromancy over Sacraments. I was refuting a single point you made in your argument about how Lich wasn't any good for anything but bashing.

3rd, at least you proved you never have any idea what you're talking about, and its not an isolated occurance. Its good to be consistant.

I proven that lich can cost more deaths for it's users if you use eye sigils then if you don't. Read the posts that people who actually use the skill, you will see how dead wrong you are.

Murphy's post, he uses lich and i'm sure you will think he is wrong too.

Torak's post, I believe he also uses the skill and thus knows what he is talking about?

Murphy said it isn't fullproof. But he also said "if you botch your escape" meaning, there's a degree of fault with the person whose doing the running.

You should know the areas you're raiding, and when you're doing the raiding, you should keep your eyes open for eye sigils.

The skill may not not be fullproof survival, but if you're crying over that fact, I've got no pity for you, because its better than most other people have.

If you don't escape as a lich, don't you just come back like vitae? Except with no experience loss at all, and an equilibrium loss?

If they can kill you after that, it's likely they would have killed you if you vitaed. I'm not seeing how you are dying more often.

You come back instantly if you use vitae, and i'm pretty sure you don't have the long equilbium loss that you do with lich.
Unknown2005-12-28 23:21:57
I think Necromancy has way more style than Sacraments.

Right, but you also lose experience. Different advantages and disadvantages.

I still think it's completely wrong to say that you'll die more often with lich than without.

Murphy2005-12-28 23:25:34
its easy enough to botch your escape, even if you don't botch it you are still easily caught again.

I'm going to give you an example of what I believe Murphy was talking about. A group of Magnagoras attack the village of paavik, which is fully covered with eye sigils because of Serenwilde. Lichs will die, and they will have no where to go because of eye sigils being everywhere. When they finally do lich, the long equilbilum loss will get most of them killed unless they're being attacked by newbies. Yes lich would be useful in one on one combat, but using common sense to protect villages or planes can get almost every person who uses lich killed.

I'll tell you why my chum, vitae actives the avenger, whereas liching does not.

So you can lich and die again, but vitae actives avenger protection so you escape. Not to mention most people have something triggered to vitae, be it burrow, fly, tumble, snortspore followed by shield, nature flow to target in local area, heartstop.

What has more class... being able to make people's aura shine and hiding behind a barrier if the mean bullies try to nick your milk money or being able to leave corpses dangling from a bloody cross, splurting goo onto those purdy holier-than-thous and turning into a wicked lich who belches flies and disease? unsure.gif

Edit: Yes I AM objective tongue.gif

while on the other hand, a sacraments use could trueheal and leave without a problem... (talking about Shiro's post)
