Heh, I didn't realize you could HONORS AVECHNA.
Richter2005-12-30 21:16:32
What's it say?
Shamarah2005-12-30 21:49:34
Nothing interesting.
Avechna, the Avenger (Male Immortal).
The circumstances of His beginnings are beyond your feeble understanding.
Anyway, I liked the QW based on idle time thing. I used it to see if people were typing a long response or done talking... it's annoying not being able to tell if someone's done saying something that they're splitting over multiple says (since we're all guilty of doing that).

Yeah, I used qw to see if novices were just slow, or ignoring me.

I think it'd be nice if allied and enemied names were coloured on CLWHO, GWHO, CWHO too.
Also, how about there was an option to colour your own name separately?

Wouldn't that kind of defeat the purpose of having hard coded colors for certain people?

Well you could always make hard coded colours superior, not masked by allies/enemies colouring. Only admins, gods and demigods have them anyway right, not like we're about to attack any of those on a whim.
And what about the second suggestion? It's unimportant to me because I do it with a client, but for those on Java it could be useful I suppose (having your own name stand out).
Unknown2005-12-31 01:03:22
If you're going to hard code colors for for cl, g and c who's, why didn't you bother to color them for qwho then, thus defeating the purpose of this new stuff?

Java can do highlighting. At least achaea's did when I played it before Lusternia came out, long long ago.
Shiri2005-12-31 02:54:44
Yeah, Nexus highlighting sometimes fails to work, but it -fairly- consistently highlights my name red so I know when people are gossipping about me.
Just
Just
CODE
#highlight "ansicolour on ansicolour"
(check config colour to find which ansi colour is which...colour.)Vix2005-12-31 02:54:49
Yeah, you can highlight on Nexus. Use #highlight .
EDIT: And ninja'd.

I remember sometimes highlight would miss the words that it was supposed to hit, but as long as the highlight is somewhere, I guess it serves its purpose
Lisaera2005-12-31 15:19:52
I considered doing it for GWHO, CWHO and OWHO too. However, I thought, well, you shouldn't have personal allies or enemies in your order, they should all be your allies! As for GWHO and CWHO, I thought they might not be big enough for it to make any difference, but perhaps I will put it on.
Unknown2005-12-31 15:29:33
I think CLWHO would be actually the most important here. Or does it work for CLWHO already?
Lisaera2005-12-31 16:45:39
I didn't even consider CLWHO actually, would it be very useful there?

They should be your enemies, but perhaps before both of you joined you were in opposite organizations and the other killed your...um...mount I guess and you loved that mount, you loved that mount a lot. So you enemied him. Later um..well, Glomdoring showed up and you both joined to it. Theres your personal enemy in your Commune and oh lets say you both joined the Shadowdancers theres your personal enemy in your guild. You also both joined er..um..Viravains Order then once again, your personal enemy is there.. Sorry for how bad that sounds. I made that up pretty much and it probably happens.
Unknown2005-12-31 18:31:46
the only thing i think that would be nice to show enemies and allies is when i scent. Because i know i do it a lot to watch my back and it would be nice to see if an enemy is about or not.
