Doesn't seem like he has much choice. Not many people sell powerstones for less. You're lucky if you're friends with a jeweler. Since cubes came out, the price has been just nasty.

What?

Last time i checked, the average price for a powerstone was 500 gold. And that's still the amount I charge for any non-enemy of Magnagora.

Heck, i do not charge that much even for enemies.

EDIT: Meh, I guess I'm just cheap.

Well, when cubes first came out, they rose several thousand. Before the miniatures came out they might have fallen back to 500. Doubtless they've skyrocketed again for these miniatures.

Yeah, true. When I was an Enchanter I had a profit rate of around 500%, IIRC.  Doubling Powerstone prices doesn't affect alchemy and Enchantment costs at all.

EDIT:
But if everyone starts charging prices THAT high, we might start to see an increase in Enchantment prices:

What the hell, you weren't supposed to get a discount! Only Serenguards are. I'll have to go change that. And I put those powerstones up for sale, quite surprised 2 actually sold so far. biggrin.gif

Tsk tsk! Taking OOC info IC! tongue.gif

Now, as for powerstones, it would be nice if no more powerstone-heavy extras came out. sad.gif I'm probably not going to go commercial with my alchemy until rates drop.
Sylphas2005-12-27 04:33:48
Goody, maybe some room in the market for me. I've sold all of two refills since kegs came out. sad.gif
Acrune2005-12-27 05:22:18
Yeah, powerstones are horribly expensive now. Enough for me to consider becoming a tailor. Would be nice to see a higher probability of cutting those. Between cubes and figurines, the *lowest* price I could find in Celest, Serenwilde, and manses linked to Celest were the prices in Rizzen's shop, quoted above.

blink.gif Holy, and I thought no one would buy those at 2500 per.
Athana2005-12-27 05:30:26
from what I've noticed the powerstones dont need to have full reserves

EDIT: also, does this mean that we can make jewelery designs that require powerstones now? since this wasn't allowed before unsure.gif

Enchanters everywhere weep.
Hajamin2005-12-27 08:27:48
Yes, Figurines do not require full powerstones, they can even be dead. Look a market for what used to be trash!

And I hope you've all noticed I fixed it so people can't restart a fight before it is finished.

Cool, recycling comes to Lusternia.

Figurinichu, I choose you!
Vix2005-12-27 17:57:52
Ooooh. Using trash makes things better then. I'll have to be careful to not let my powerstone run out of power. biggrin.gif
Richter2005-12-27 19:38:25
Oh, well then, we'll just have to make sure enchanters don't throw away those used powerstones. They always destroy them when they're done, maybe this will allow us to keep the cost of miniatures down.
Athana2005-12-27 19:50:19
Do powerstones still dust when they reach 0%?

Yes, though they can get to .5% which shows up as 0%.

I triple-dog-dare ya to find a use for both cooking and herbalism with figurines!

Funny thing, the herbalist skill was already coded waiting for players to figure it out when you said that.
Ialie2005-12-28 07:27:22
Baking a figurine in sugar should produce gingerbread fiigurine men.

Now I'm curious, how did Shinza figure it out? The answer may be obvious, but I still don't know anything about figurines.
